If anyone on this thread had played NCAA 25, Longerbeam, Dixon, and Powell should all feel slighted. They are significantly underrated, defense isn't in question this year. Although they do seem to really be high on Ajani Sheppard

Inundated with too much data. But overall the info points to an incredible Rutgers team in ‘25. With so many stars leaving next year hopefully the 24 recruits can nudge up that talent loss and hold on especially the defense side. Love the ticker tape would like some more data while recycling all.
@Tedisntakidanymore10 күн бұрын
When Fran Brown left, I figured Rutgers' recruiting would suffer, but Coach Schiano and Staff have really picked it up. Now, lets win some games early on, get bowl-eligible, and start stacking more top drawer recruits.

RU receivers need an OC who understands deception. If the Offensive line can give the QB enough time, receivers can come off a "fake blocking assignment" and move upfield into an open space created by the first line receivers pulling the secondary away from that space. Then, there is the indefensible button hook, where the receiver comes back to the ball, as the defender stays behind the receiver and the goal -line.

Aaron, it needs to be stated time and again. I don't really know of any other person writing anything critical of a university or any type of organization but they actually listen to those people and/or make the changes necessary. Sometimes you can't just give people what they want to hear. So I'm grateful ever since SB Nation's On The Banks days Aaron not only have you just covered football and men's basketball, you have given the platform to the other sports in which not many other universities either have the luxury of such or it just doesn't happen. Whatever path you lead next, keep up the great work!

Aaron, How accurate would you guess are the height and weight stats you state? it seems 6' 11 1/2" big Cliff is actually, 6'9" barefoot per NBA combine stats? If you look at team photos, Antwone Woolfolk always seemed taller than Cliff. It seems such a discrepancy should have drawn some media attention, but it didn't. Like Bronny James' true height being unveiled at 6' 1" , I have to wonder about the true height of most players anymore. Yeah, long arms are another factor, which explains a lot about Cliff, and even Bronny, but being excited about the listed height of a player may need an asterixis.

Now that the world knows the direction of college football, Rutgers should move to join the ACC. They would have a serious shot at the ACC title every year and would be a lock in the new CFP. Tho being in the BIG has distinct advantages for the Scarlet Knights, the ACC would offer a more advantageous path to the CFP. It will be a struggle forever for Rutgers to consistently compete for a BIG championship and a solid CFP berth. The ACC is also a better regional fit, not that it means anything anymore. Aint going to happen tho. TV money is king.

When I was a kid in the early 90s, Rutgers and BC were on an even footing. Look at the difference now. BC gets stomped in the ACC in basically every sport, and they'll end up in the MAC or the American Conference when the ACC breaks up in a few years. That could've been us. So, in the off chance that Tim Pernetti ever reads this comment, thanks a lot!

I love your clips!…Just one correction. The comment referring to the 2005 football team having the track team in the backfield is partially incorrect. One member of backfield who ran track as well was Joe porter who was one of the leaders in interceptions in the big east in either 05 or 06 and went on to play for the Green Bay Packers (beast!!..)He did not get smoked. The other members of the big east championship 4x100 relay were all track only guys. Multiple football players tried out however didn’t make the relay. You are 100% correct that football speed and track speed are COMPLETELY different however I’m obligated to stick up for that great track and field relay team…lol
