Did you remove the pins in the middle piece besides removing the screws?

How is it screwed to the floor?

One other question the Specs say weight capacity 300 pounds. Is that an industry standard? Two adults will usually be heavier. Any problems with damage due to weigh?

Are the screw holes marked and predrilled or do you just guess-a-mate were they go? Also will the sofa go in the RV assembled or do you assemble inside the RV? How is the quality compared to other sofas on the market any regrets? Could the bed stands eventually cause damaged to the vinyl floor by rubbing and does it adjust evenly for the raised slide-out platform? Finally would you recommend paying a few extra bucks and go to ACE with the provided Chinese hardware and upgrade with Stainless and Nylon locknuts? Thank you for your response want to purchase something soon for my Class C Outlaw.

There is no need to remove the hinges from the back, it can stay with the frame. Simply remove the center bed by removing the pins, then remove the 3 screws on each end of the tubular frame, and remove the frame and back as one piece.. it is much easier. There is also NO need to dismantle the main body, it can be easily tilted through the door on it's back.

Bought this couch and really like it. There is a gap when the back piece is laid flat, like 4". From what I have seen, this shouldn't be. Ours came without any instructions. Is there a fix without taking the whole thing apart?

I have a 2020 Forester with the same design couch. I have to combing youtube here hoping to find a video to help put the darn thing back to gether. We took ours apart several months ago in lieu of getting recliner's. Now i need to use it in our little office as a just in case we have company. Your video is perfect for me. Great job.

I have a similar sofa and the piece that is in the head area is lower than the the mid and foot section and makes for a bad sleep. What would you recommend I do to fix it?
@central-virginiaphotograph313 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delay, Denise. If you are saying the trifold sofa is uneven when unfolded, then my only recommendation is a different brand or type of tri-fold sofa bed. I've never seen an even sofa-bed in this style, but they likely exist somewhere. I went the other direction with a CouchBed - a hinging, dual configuration, dense futon-like sofa, that's a better day bed than couch. It's on a retractable platform for the perfect height and depth in either configuration. We replaced the original trifold sofa with this and saved space and weight. It's a very comfy bed. Been sleeping like a rock on that baby! Requires a bit more work to convert than the trifold, so that's a compromise. Best of luck on your solution.

To lift the head, you have to remove the frame from the sides and then raise and and reattach the frame to be level. It’s really quite easy. I have done this to 2 Thomas Payne Trifold sofas and they are both completely fine now.

what screws size you used to connect the side peaces ?
@central-virginiaphotograph314 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, they were two inch lag screws, probably about #14 in size - you can see where they attach from the metal frame to the side pieces at about the 40 second mark of the vid.

Probably carb needs cleaning.

It was bad fuel from a container I thought was fresh fuel. But it did gum up the carb, so that got cleaned. Runs great now!
