Would be a life saver if someone could share next steps for Maytag MVWB766FW1 off balance for any size load but empty. Replaced suspension rods. Leveled front to back side to side. Checked washer plate and tower for soundnesses which was nice and tight. Nothing in between drum and linear. Performs wash cycle and initial low speed spin to drain tub but as soon as it picks up from there bang bang bang off balance and walks. At a loss!? 🤷

I changed the inlet valve and washer started working. Now it seems like something else is wrong. The countdown timer is erratically going down, up, down, up... it's also filling the tub more that normal. Any idea what else I need to do?

A few months later (if that long) you notice water leaking from the same exact spot. Just a Hint from a 30+ year technician. Add a little O-ring lubricant to the black seals where they go into the water distribution channels. They'll seat easier and prevent having to replace the inlet valve again, lol.

Nice collection! I don't understand for the life of me why the Euro pressings put the lyrics on the back cover (Bloodgood, Ken Tamplin, Petra). Also, I wouldn't mind getting bands like Jerusalem, Daniel Band and Barren Cross on vinyl but I have a gut feeling the whatever Boones, Girder or Roxx don't already have pressed so far to vinyl will eventually be done in the following years once they get the rights. I think Roxx will do a vinyl reissue of the 2 Bloodgood live albums to go along with the CDs that were done. I'm hoping Boones will do the vinyl for Rock in a Hard Place. I didn't know that Petra Means Rock was on vinyl. I had the cassette or CD for that. When Petra went from Star Song to Word, just about every year from 1989 to the mid 90s they would do a compilation capitalizing on their older material from 1979 to 1989. It seems to be kind of shaddy to me. In the summer or fall of the year around when Petra was scheduled to do a release another compilation would be popped out from Star Song. The only official Petra comps I currently have is the War and Remembrance cassettes where it has a cool booklet and the Girder 5 LP set. I have the Guardian and Stryper on vinyl. I had the original First Watch on CD and the liner notes was really really hard to read. I sold that and got the Boones reissue with the booklet and 14 tracks. Here is a bit of trivia for you: Engima went bankrupt around 1990. One of the Hein brothers went from Enigma to Hollywood Records. He signed Stryper to Hollywood Records and rereleased their first 5 albums. The band wanted to record a full length album and release it as a follow up to Against The Law. The label and Hein didn't want to invest into a full album so that compilation Can't Stop the Rock was done instead. That's why it was unusual for that first album is a comp and not a full length where comps are the last album that bands releases on the label to fulfill a contractual obligation before being released from the label. I knew the band released that comp in 1991 through microfische ad a local Book and Bible Store. I bought that in April 1992 on CD and 2 years later that same month I bought the Michael Sweet debut solo album on CD in 1994. How many CDs and LPs do you own?

Very useful video BUT reality check for people attempting this repair: The instructions at 0:41 is absolutely impossible to achieve and perform!! Opening that panel is on a difficulty scale of 9.5 (out of 10). The realistic way to open this panel is getting a putty knife and pushing into those clips from the corners. It requires LOTS of force. Maytag has not made this process easy. Just thought I pass this on to others.

Great video!!! The only thing I would add is to hook the water lines back up and turn the water on before placing the control panel back on and run a cycle and check for leaks around the new water inlet because the new one I recieved was defective causing it to leak water. Could cost you a small fortune in water damage to your floor if you dont check it for a leak. Again very useful video.

I received my copy yesterday, and got it added to discogs this morning. Will be showing it in an upcoming video for sure. I was a little frustrated with this release since I bought all of the 7" vinyl releases leading up to it, thinking it would never actually be released as a single LP. DOH :)

I own this exact washing machine, what a piece of junk it is, that water valve lets out such a small amount of water it is impossible to wash a load of clothes without dumping in 4 gallons of water on top of your dry clothes before you start the machine up. Other than that it won’t put enough water into the tub to wash the clothes. I also replaced the valve with absolutely no change in the water flow.

So I have a Maytag Top and it staying stuck on the sensing light when I try to start a load, I was told by a repair guy that I need to replace those Same Valves? ANYBODY have any advice"

Can you share part number? My machine is Maytag commercial mvwb765fw0 Looks EXACTLY like yours. I’m getting “compatible” part numbers and worry it actually may not be. When I look into details my machine model number is NOT listed as compatible. So not sure why it’s coming back as compatible. Given you can still answer this question. Thanks again.
