I was just thinking one of those boats would be a hoot in the St Joe Bay...not that the campground is there anymore but you could run all over the place and even pull up the dagger board to go scalloping in the skinny water!

Cool idea, WindTern. I look forward to seeing what you do to upgrade the TI's rudder.

Poppy, I finished the rear steering, but when I tried to use the same cable for the front, it worked, but it was too long and the steering was sloppy. So I purchased a shorter cable from a different company. Even though the travel was advertised the same, it was not. Now I'm working with a company that say's they will custom make me one. I had a question for them right before Easter, but they took an extended Easter Holiday, should hear back from them today. But the short story is, the travel of the two cables has to be exact, or the cable's will bind up.

I want to, having a little set back. I originally designed it and had a company make it for me. He wanted to know if there was a market for them, I told him probably, but I wasn't sure. So I made the video to see what kind of response I had. Your the first to respond. Are you interested? I really can't give you a price yet, he hasn't given me a price yet. If you want one, I will call him and get a price. My email address is [email protected]

Very nice I am also interested. Can you use this with tramps installed?
@dtglenz7 жыл бұрын
They work with my tramps, but I don't have Hobie tramps, I have an after market tramp, so I can't say they will work with Hobie tramps. I'll investigate and get back with you.
@dtglenz7 жыл бұрын
Daryl, I checked out Hobie Tramps and I would say yes, they will work, they don't look any different from my tramps.

+Derek Michaels Yes, it was always on my bucket list. We started in Key Largo. First day we biked to Marathon; spent the night. This was day 2. From here we went all the way to Key West. Spent two days in Key West, then took two days biking back to Key Largo. Each leg was about 50 miles.
