The point is that there is good and bad in both humans and apes (ofc humans are apes themselves but putting that aside). Proximus was an evil character. Koba was an evil character. There were plenty of good humans as well. All the best :)

The problem is, which just occured to me, is that, we ARE apes. Which just makes this a retelling of our own evolution except that the "apes" learned language, culture and technology for preciously evolved apes. If you look at it that way, its way less interesting

Maybe I am🤪😆 Her intelligence reveal was moreso in the middle of the movie. Initially, I was fine with it because maybe she could’ve had genetic immunity to the Simian Flu. Still wouldn’t explain how she knew what she knew (ie who taught her) but it’s a logical leap I was willing to make. But the knowledge of explosives, firearms, & combat…And then the additional pockets of other intelligent human groups who also know how to use technology hundreds of years before they were alive was too many jumps for me😅 Especially in light of the collapse of human society & intelligence that came before them 🤷‍♂️ The movie lacked additional context & explanation for me to justify what was going on with the humans by the end of the film. Thanks for checking out my video tho!😎🤙

Yes , I would say your criticisms are off base. Your questions In regards to how did she know what she knew was explained. at the end of the movie. Obviously she came from an elaborate Bunker. It's probably similar to the one she infiltrated. No doubt the two bunkers communicated with each other in the past. The people inside these bunkers were protected from the virus. If you notice inside the bunker that she went inside had military equipment , a children's classroom and a power generator. Probably powered by the ocean itself. It seems to me, That she and a few others were well trained for their mission. She was quick to thought, and she knew exactly how to kill someone with a UFC choke hold. More than likely they probably volunteered for the mission, knowing that they will not be allowed back in.

That's a great take on it and fills some of the holes for me. In the original movie franchise the underground people were telepaths who eventually end up destroying the world by setting off an atomic bomb and the apes have to travel back in time to when humans were still dominating. Then she bangs one of the humans and ultimately creates the first intelligent ape species starting the planet of the apes all over again.

@seanbester1465 It's implied and accepted as canon in the original timeline. Not only did she cheat on her husband with a different species but if you think about it they also implied that for them to recreate a species of intelligent apes naturally they must have mated with their children at some point too. The franchise never addresses how interbreding would have more likely resulted in less intelligent apes but I guess the movie isn't 100% accurate with science.
@seanbester1465
@seanbester1465 14 күн бұрын
@heydude21687 uh... no? Zira and Cornelius were already smart, so milo (caesar) wouldn't need to have been interbred with humans to be like them. Try googling your theory, there is nothing on it anywhere. Also, they died at the end of escape, so they would not have mated with their own children.

I appreciate your explanation & response! I could’ve used a scene or two, or maybe even just a few lines of dialogue between either Mae & Trevathan or with Mae & the lady she met with at the end of the movie explaining what you had suggested more clearly. For me, the movie lacks clarity in explaining the human aspect. Outside of the other criticisms I mentioned in the vid, other (rhetorical) questions would be: if there were other human survivors, why’d it take ~300 + years for them to get to the SatComm device? Wouldn’t human generations existing further after the onset of the Simian Flu have a harder understanding of how the technology worked? Thanks for checking out the video! Seems like you enjoyed that last chunk of the movie more than I did!😅🤙

Yea the ending showed that she gave them the SatComm drive thing. It was unclear to me why the human Mae met with had a hazmat suit when meeting up but didn’t have one with the other humans. Other reviews I’ve seen suggest that Mae has some kind of variation of the Simian Flu that would be ‘deadly’ to other humans. Unfortunately I didn’t find the movie to be very clear on the human element. Leaves too much to assume/interpret for my tastes 🤷‍♂️😅 Thanks for checking out my video tho!😎🤙

My qualm is the fact that Katara and Ang is more powerful in this series. Katara becoming a water bending master all by herself? I get that she has had to learn on the road but does that compare to centuries of water bending mastery techniques? And then the fact that Ang doesn't even water bend once throughout the whole series? And now Katara has to teach Ang water bending without having learned from a master herself? So why hasn't she done that already while traveling with Ang before arriving at the Northern Water Tribe like in the animation? Both are portrayed as being more powerful in the live action series but with less training and struggle to get there. It all seems a bit too easy. I didn't mind Azula's character as much besides her being somewhat underwhelming. And also not having her blue flames while already being able to control lightening, despite the concept of lightening being introduced much later in the animated series. No lead up... Just...oh look, lightening.

I dunno! Did you really watch the Show? 😯 Seems like you watch it but didn't really understand it clearly. Like... 1) Katara did actually offered herself to train Aang to learned Water Bending. It was shown and stated in Episode 2. But Aang turned her down because as Aang said "I've only been trained by Gyatso. He's my only Master. I only want Gyatso as my Master. I don't want to accept any other Master beside Gyatso." So, that's your answer! Because Aang didn't want to accept Katara as his Master, that's why he didn't Water Bend throughout the Season unlike in the Animated Series. But now as stated in Episode 8 Katara will now help him try to learn the other 3 Elements and Aang will now do that. As of Episode 8, Aang now accepts to learn from other Masters. 2) Azula actually did have Blue Fire in this Live Action Show! She actually use her Blue Fire in one of her Training Fight scene against an Earth Kingdom Prisoner but she didn't continue it because Mai stopped her. Maybe you probably didn't see it because It's a blink and you'll miss it moment!
@rvandermerwe7585
@rvandermerwe7585 2 ай бұрын
@@01Danni10 1) That's just stupid. Especially since he has to learn the 3 other elements from different masters. Besides, the animated series communicated Ang's love for Gyatso without him irrationally refusing to learn from another master (or a friend in Katara's case). So it's not that I don't understand it's just stupid. And my true complaint is not that he didn't learn water bending but rather that benders seem to be more powerful in the series without a master. It undermines the whole concept of the Avatar world where knowledge and bending techniques have been passed on for centuries. The whole premise of the series is about connecting with people and learning that you cannot do things alone. If Katara could master water bending just by dealing with stuff on her travels, can't Ang do the same with the other elements by that logic? Also, Ang never had to accept Katara as his master, he could have just tried water bending whether that was with Katara or on his own. You'd think he should have tried at least checking he could, like Katara did when she was younger. 2) Yeah, yeah, I saw the blue flame sputtering out when Mai grabbed he wrist, but that could just be how all flames look like before they go out. Like the piece of blue flame coming out of a lighter before turning into the red flame. Regardless, whether she has blue flames or not is still to be seen for sure. It could be a budget constraint for all we know. So, in short I prefer remaining skeptical instead of believing what I want to, like you seem to do. I am only asking valid questions, the answers of which only the writers know. You seem to answer all those questions with what you want to be true and not actually the case and seems like an illogical analysis. What we do have are the facts that 1. Katara became a master all by herself. 2. Despite being past the "Book of Water" Ang has done no water bending and 3. Azula doesn't have her characteristic blue fames (yet). I might also add that I do like the series overall. Also, you should really pay more attention to the series overall because you might read too much into some things and miss the overarching story and its incongruities.
@01Danni10
@01Danni10 2 ай бұрын
@@rvandermerwe7585 1) Well... It's true that he has to learn the other 3 Elements. But the way I'm understanding it! Netflix Aang doesn't really know how to be the Avatar. Yes! He's trying to learnn how to be one but deep down he doesn't know what he's doing. Plus Netflix Aang also has some kind of guilt inside him that make it seem like he doesn't wanna let go of the past! But in Episode 8 he learned to let it go because Gyatso told him to let go of the past! That's why now he wants to accept other Masters because he's ready to move on from Gyatso. Don't get me wrong though! I too also did want him to learn Water Bending from Katara in Season 1 but I do also understand why Aang didn't. Because he wasn't ready yet. To answer your question about being a Master. If Katara could Master Water Bending just by dealing with stuffs in her travels, can't Aang do the same? Well... Yes! I guess he could! But technically though Katara isn't really a Master yet! She just said she is a Master to Zuko because no one wanted to train her. As for Aang though... He could be a Master too I guess. In the Animated Series Aang did Master the Four Elements while doing stuffs in his Journey. Yeah! He did had Pakku teaching him to Water Bend but before that Aang has already been Training to Water Bend in his journey. For Earth Bending she learned it from Toph which technically is not a Master. By that I mean Toph is not a Master Master, like Pakku, Bumi, Iroh, Gyatso and etc. Yeah! I guess you could say Netflix Aang could become a Master of his own along his Journey! 2) Actually, no! It's actually very clear that Netflix's Azula has Blue Flames. It's not like what you're implying that it could just be like all flames look before they go out. I saw it clearly! Azula's Flame turned from Red to Blue before Mai grabbed her wrist. If it's just nothing and is a normal thing for fire to do before they go out then... Does that mean Zuko has Blue Flames as well if it's just normally how fire do before they go out? I don't think so!
