Disappointed with SLZB-06 POE Performance I purchased the SLZB-06 with POE after reading all the great reviews, hoping it would be a worthy upgrade to replace my Conbee 2 USB coordinator. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from positive. From the start, I noticed that the Link Quality Indicator (LQI) was significantly lower than expected, even for devices placed within one meter of the coordinator in the same room. The LQI hovered around 192, which is much lower than what I used to get with the Conbee 2. To make matters worse, devices constantly drop from the network, making it unreliable and frustrating to use. I have taken steps to rule out interference, running the coordinator on Zigbee channel 25 and keeping my WiFi on channels 1 and 6 with a 20 MHz channel width. Despite this, the performance remains poor. I reached out to support and hope they can help, but for now, I am extremely disappointed. If you are considering switching to the SLZB-06, I would strongly recommend proceeding with caution.

Fun fact/reminder: Our eyes have been placed horizontally. The reason probably being that lions are more dangerous than birds, or something like that. What do I know. In the future human kind might start adapting to this incredibly strange videos format, but that will probably take several millennia. For now we have to stick to what we've been equipped with. What the video was about, I have barely an idea since the view was, politely put, somewhat limited 🙃 The audible narration was good, so there is that. My only argument is really only pay for what you need. I get that they’re comparable prices but I’d say bare bones what you need is a Pi4 with 2-4GB RAM and to just use that. It can be tempting to make the step up but I haven’t really had a need to so if price is an issue go with the Pi4 instead

@@digiblurDIY thanks for the tip. I found the device, it was showing up with the old name it had when it was on Tuya cloud. I tried flashing the new ESPHome firmware to it over OTA but keep getting "ERROR Error sending data: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer". The wifi signal is strong, the image is really small and anyway the flash fails after less than 2% sent.

Solved! I had the wrong board type in my yaml. I figured it out by using the manual option and then trying to flash through the web page for the device. @TamrinKhan it is a common problem. You just need to change the override adoption IP in the advanced settings in Unifi as it gets confused running as a container/add on and sends the wrong IP to the hardware being adopted. All you need to do is put in the IP of the HAOS hardware.
