Love your Sunglass collection! My Grandmother had macular degeneration. She was legally blind the last twenty years of her life. I heard about protecting your eyes from UV way back and I have not left the house without sunglasses on for the majority of my life. Thanks for spreading the word.

Nina, you said you have thin hair so I'm wondering if you've checked your iron levels? I had the same problem. My doctor told me that when iron is low, the first place your body stops sending iron-rich blood to is...your hair. Once my iron level became normal, my hair went back to it's normal thickness and curly texture. BTW, your curly hair is all the vibe right now! Let's see it...style it up curly and show us.

Nina. The trim work in your dining room is it only in the dining room? I love when we get glimpses of your home. It's just so good. I feel that the home was grossly overpriced as well. Inside was definitely cool and like a time capsule, but that price range. I don't think they're gonna find the right buyer

Hi Lena, thank you for watching this episode. Yes the paneling is really only in my dining room for the moment. ❤️

Love your adorable dog! 😘. Really enjoyed the house tour and seeing the cosmetic dentistry visit. I have similar problems with my 67 year old teeth. My teeth are not only getting darker but they are “shrinking.” Fortunately a friend of mine in DC still practices dentistry and is giving me veneers

I just don’t get this “no upper cabinet” thing. I do think it is a trend because no upper cabinets is so impractical and enormous waste of space for storage. Unless you are under 5 feet, who wants to bend down to get a dish or plate? Who has a kitchen big enough to store everything unless you never cook or have a very minimalist kitchen? The “no upper cabinet” thing reminds me of “open shelves” kitchen in that it is a trend.

Great vlog today, Nina. I have watched a lot of YT vlogs on veneers, and people’s stories, probably because my father and grandfather were both dentists lol. I would only go to the best of the best also, if I could afford it. It seems sometimes they pop off, and sometimes they just look too darn white and perfect, and take away the actual charm of uniqueness. Another down side is the borders at the gum line, if not done to perfection, can collect bacteria and rot your natural tooth. The other downside is if it messes up your bite, you could get intractable TMJ . At least with your relationship with Dr. Apa, you have him on speed dial, to get you in if have a problem. Oh one other downside, you will need to replace them all in as little as seven to ten years. So think long and hard.

Thank you for these creative ideas! Our new house has a frame TV over the fireplace in the living room which is adjacent to the kitchen hence making its use very informal. Unfortunately the actual family room is on another level….this is forcing me to treat the upstairs living room like a family room, which I dislike. I write all of that to convey…my sofa HAS to be in front of the fireplace…..so hubby can do what he does: watch TV while I cook…LOL

I just purchased the rattan chair and had to return it within a week. The arm rest unraveled. It’s also hideous in real life when assembled. The hardware is silver and visible on the outside.

Can you share what kind of stems you have in the vase? They look so good, but I just can’t make them out with the white on white background. Advice on point, especially about negatives on porcelain! Always beautiful Nina 🩷

Hi. I’m planning my new kitchen. I really want my kitchen cabinets to go all the way to the celing. But this is an old house and i have beems. How to solve floor to celing cabinets when the beems are there? Should i take the uppers up to the beem and then use trim/crown molding to finish of the seamless look? I need the beems, they are structual. Marit 🇳🇴

This is the perfect primer for today’s kitchen. Nina, you had me jumping up several times to see if my kitchen was measuring up. My kitchen, which I love, scored high. Two important elements that I did not inherit from the seller, are marble or quartzite countertops, and mixed metals. The mixed metals are easily accomplished, the counters I will live with, they are manmade quartz. Going to share a cute terminology I learned from a woman whose husband built them a galley kitchen in their second home log cabin. It was narrow, narrower than she would have liked. She calls it her “one butt kitchen.”

sitting with back to view is the greatest waste... the room with the bench facing the entrance - behind the sofa - has the studding pendant as 'the' focal point - the fireplace is the focal point once seated

Four years with my veneers best decision ever love them , no regrets tip don’t go too white try and get as close to your natural teeth colour as possible especially if you’re doing them partially and do go too big.
