Both terrible terrible car companies. Hyundai can still achieve to be worse than vw. How do these companies manage to keep a straight face? How do these youtubers do such superficial reviews?

Those "simply clever" bits on the Skoda cost €1000! That's for a cable storage net and a few bits of plastic! FFS the nickel and diming that the VAG group go in for is simply ridiculous, and quite frankly annoying. In Spain, the cheapest big battery Elroq is the same price as the top spec EV3 with the big battery, but add in the "Simply clever"pack and just one of the other packs, and the Elroq starts getting VERY expensive.Add in the frankly poor 2 year guarantee, and the Elroq starts looking seriously poor in compareison with the KIA offer. I have no idea what the legacy automakers think they are doing. The world has moved on from the times when you could get away with a 2 year guarantee, yet that's all they ever seem to offer. No wonder the Koreans and Chinese are making such inroads into their markets.

ALL modern cars are fugly, it's because customers apparently like these ridiculous SUVs. However, I'd say that at least all the KIAs look like KIAs, whereas all the VAG cars seem to all look the same. I admit that this is probably because I can't be bothered with VAG cars, so my inability to discern the differences may be down to being completely uninterested.

I strongly advice against buying the Kia. Kia will rip you off when you return the car. Also its much uglier than the Skoda. The driving dynamics of the Skoda are also way better.

Why would you "Return the car", would that be for servicing? Having driven both VAG and Hyundai/KIA group carsa in Spain, I'd strongly dispute that. I found all VAG was to be horrendously overpriced on servicing, while both Hyundai and KIA were much more reasonable, but just as professional. Ido think that much of this is down to which market you're in, but in Spain I would not have another VAG car... EVER.

Grappig, zo'n stille "review". Wel goed is die walkaround en het tonen van alle hoeken en gaten van de auto, van binnen en van buiten. Maar het rijgedeelte heeft me weinig informatie opgeleverd. Ik heb zelf in de nieuwe Espace proefgereden en was verrast hoe rap hij is en hoezeer je "one pedal driving" kunt beoefenen. Heerlijke manier van rijden in combinatie met distance control; je hoeft je rempedaal bijna niet meer te gebruiken. Ook is de auto met zijn 3-cilinder 1200 cc verrassend stil op de snelweg, er is niet veel windruis en andere geluiden en de vering is aangenaam comfortabel. Alleen als ik hem af en toe eens flink op zijn staart trapte verslikte hij zich soms. Kortom: een fijne, comfortabele cruiser, geen scheurijzer (uiteraard). Uiterlijk vind ik de nieuwe Espace niet bijzonder; het vorige model vond ik mooier, vooral de Initiale. Donkerblauwe lak met het ivoorkleurige leer van de Iconic zoals in dit filmpje: wel heel mooi. En het interieur van de nieuwe Espace vind ik heel geslaagd. Prijstechnisch is de Espace best interessant ten opzichte van de concurrentie, zowel in prijs als in lease-tarief, zag ik. Ik ben binnenkort toe aan een nieuwe auto en deze staat vooralsnog in de top 3 (samen met de nieuwe Peugeot 5008 en de Volvo V60).

@ the cares came out similar time (well Elroq actually earlier) and no, the lights are not the same, similar yes but what is not similar these days in car industry… Skoda lights are different though- the pixel is prolongated unless like this other car and run all over the front mask of the car.

Where I live and I believe most countries, even if the starting price or marketed price of each version is similar between Elroq and EV3, the Skoda will be about 5k EUR more expensive spec for spec with the same options. Most options come as standard in the Kia or are available as trim levels while in the Skoda you have a starting price but very easily rack up the price after adding even stuff which should have come as standard.

its overal about the personal preference. if you wish to have V2L that you cannot have with MEB cars. the MEB cars have the terrible OS (which has got a lot better). MEB cars still don't really get over the air updates that often. KIA charging curve is straigh flat so you get the max charging always. MEB chars charging curve is more downward and requires to have low charge to actually get the max. both have similar batter warming abilities.

The Elroq is available with the DCC option, which will make it more dynamic than the EV3. EV3 is more comfortable (a lot) and overall offers a better ride in my opinion.

@JanNowak-q7m: Gutes Auto - guter Motor. Mit Steuerkette. Früher mit Zahnriemen in Öl - man konnte ihn am Öleinfüllstutzen kontrollieren. Fuhr Opel Corsa mit 100 PS und 5,2 Liter/100 km. Tolles Auto - toller Motor.

Yeah...but a version with timing chain instead of the extremely problematic "wet" timing belt... so, we'll have to wait how "shitgine" this version is, but it certainly won't have the same problem as the previous one. 😉

Engine is equipped with a chain now, why are people always bashing on French cars. I drive a Renault for 12 years now, no problems at all, while the Opel I had before, made in Germany, was a real problem car.

Nice car and nice price if you are from France or Germany. I see that here in Ireland this car (one with an entertainment screen so mid probably spec) is advertised at €24,400, probably working out at about €25,000 with delivery and related charges. It's such a pity that some EU governments circumvent the true spirit of the EU and one of its cornerstones , the common market, by imposing an additional taxes. Here it's called a vehicle registration tax and amounts to thousands per vehicle. Yes we're great Europeans but only when it suits. Rant over.

@ingmartangerak8973: Ausstattungsbereinigt kosten die das gleiche. Das ist der MAX, der in Deutschland 19.245 € kostet. In den Niederlanden ist die MWSt. 21% und vielleicht ist er noch besser ausgestattet. Also keine großen Preisunterschiede. Der e-C3 kostet in den Niederlanden als You ab 24.300 €.

Currently, both the A6 Avant and ID7 Tourer are way up on my list at the moment. Both extremely capable, though of course the VW will be maybe £7.5-10k cheaper, so better-value!
