If Shanks is Garling's son that makes him a celestial dragon, its not like he chose to be taken by the Roger Pirates when he was found as a baby, and Dolfamingos dad straight up abandoned his celestial dragon lineage by literally going through the process of choosing to become a normal human, Shanks would technically still be a celestial dragon because he never abandoned his celestial status like Doflamingos dad did to himself and his family, other celestial dragons might not like Shanks because hes a pirate and lives in the lower world but as far as we know he never went through the process dolfamingos dad did to abandon his celestial status

maybe the anime is different than the manga but I couldnt find that

true, but you gotta remember Shanks was taken as a baby, its not like he chose the life of a pirate its what he was raised on, if Garling failed to save his son or couldnt locate where he was taken for years to try and save him, in my opinion i still think shanks would hold his celestial status especially if Shanks is his only child

This point is the strongest evidence for the twin idea for sure, I dont have a great answer but it could just be Oda is trolling us into believing theres a chance its not shanks or is using that to show Shank's duality of being a pirate and a God knight? When its God Knight Shanks we get that side of his face reflecting who hes being at that time. But this point can go either way, the fact that we dont see Shank's scar also doesnt discount that its not Shanks 2. So obviously the Gorosei were familiar with Blackbeard at this point but the only things they would know are the surface level stuff, he was on WBs crew, he somehow can eat two devil fruits, etc but they wouldn't know about his lineage or bloodline or why hes such a major threat to them. Shanks has been following Blackbeard and his movements ever since their battle that scarred him, up until that point I think Shanks was the only one to really know about some secret power Blackbeard has. And in chapter 1107 how would Saturn have learned about Blackbeards "bloodline"? Blackbeard was an orphan its not like theres some database with everyones info on it, it has to be because Shanks told the gorosei or we would have most likely gotten that deposition of blackbeards bloodline when all the gorosei talk about how in recorded history no one has ever eaten two devil fruits like blackbeard, if they knew about his bloodline then they could be like oh maybe its because of that? 3. I dont think i detailed this enough in the video, I think Shanks is still a good guy and is being forced to be a God Knight for some unknown reason, he obviously knows where Loki is but isnt going to tell this other God Knight that, in hoping they dont succeed in their plans. My biggest thing against this twin brother idea is it only makes sense to me if this twin has to hide his identity since he shares his face with one of the most famous pirates. Because how has nobody in the story brought up the fact that Shanks is a celestial, and has a twin brother thats a god knight? It would be one thing if the celestials never leave the holy land but we know they do so IMO word would get out about this. Now if this character is a shanks clone that makes waaaay more sense to me. Yeah I agree, 100% i might have jumped the gun way to early because we are pretty early into the arc. But im in the same boat, right now im more its shanks but im in no way against it being a twin/clone theres obviously pretty strong evidence for that being the case

in some way or another yup, or maybe not because if shanks can use summoning circles that gives him way more time to do secret missions and possibly get back before his crew notices hes gone, i know thats somewhat of a reach
