OMG what an incredibly nice video! I have practiced kendo for over 8 years and watch hundreds of kendo guide videos, and this is the one that explain fumikomi most clearly. Thank you for this video!

It just takes lots of training to strengthen your shoulder and wrist. Hold it a bit higher on the tsuka if you struggle too much, you rather want to take care of yourself than overstrain yourself and get a wrist injury. (This happened to me) Are you asking specifically about technique or the sequence of kiri-kaeshi?

@@adhiwu As the guy above me mentioned go and watch Dash's Video on it but I will explain anyway. I do it this way: Okuri ashi footwork with daito hitting the 1st set of Men cuts. Ayumi ashi footwork with shoto doing the men cuts. Daito strikes last men , fumi komi with opposite foot. I hope this helps, if I didn't clearly enough please tell me. 😅

I agree that the mindset for a successful execution of kaeshi do, it is a sen-sen-no-sen, otherwise, the first defence move would be too late, and the subsequent do strike could not be executed because of poor timing and distance is getting too close.
