Sam did music therapy with the wonderful Mike Brownell for 23 years.

Barb and Howard, Thank you so much for posting this. It means so much and it was a beautiful tribute to a truly amazing young man. Thanks to your continual efforts and love, we have all become better people, and we will continue to watch Josh grow and develop while keeping Sam in our hearts. You guys are all so special and we send you endless love.

Wow, I still can't believe it! It's hard for me to write this. Sam and I had such a special connection. Whenever I handed him his assignments for the day, he would glance at them for just a few seconds and jokingly threaten to shred or toss them away. Of course, I would playfully tell him not to, and he would simply leave them on the table. But here's the amazing thing - he actually remembered every single task and completed them all flawlessly! Sometimes, just for fun, I would ask him to do something that wasn't even part of his assignment. He would always respond with a "no" and we'd celebrate with a high five and I would say thank you, Sam". But then, despite saying no, he would go ahead and do exactly what I asked, and he'd come back to me saying, "Who brought in the grocery, Sam B did!" He even changed his name from Sam to Sam B, and from that point on, we all affectionately called him Sam B. Sam had started telling me when I would be 100 recently too. Lol!
