I LOVE THIS VIDEO THANK YOU~~~~ :) I have been trying to help people understand this the last 4-5 years as I branched out from the "Organic" "regenerative" stuff I was taught. There are some things it is good with, like plant health and ecosystem health, but it is also really good at increasing pest and pathogen species. I am so much happier knowing my fruit are grown well, but if I told people they aren't organic, I think they would be scared or not understand what it even means.

sometimes the single fence ring just isn’t enough to stop them, one got my mom’s ornamental crabapple, it had been there for 4 years unfenced and suddenly overnight it had turned into a new growth bush. the stumps all have potential to re sprout, it just sets you back a lot of years in tree training, which admittedly is less than ideal in the annoyance department, But i’d rather spend my energy laughing and fixing the problem than on being bent up and annoyed.

I agree. The tree roots are well established which allows the top to come back quickly.

I come her every year in September since I was born, and I’ve gotta say, this place is amazing. You get free apples but only free when you eat it there. I love the place. Experiencing the slingshot. Everything you have. You make it so fun. Even for elders. I don’t know what to write because it is so fun. Thank you for making this for us.

Hi. Nice Video. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me what "600-1100" apples daily represents? Cases? Loads? Just trying to understand capacity if you care to share the answer. If i get no answer, I enjoyed the video and education. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback! We pack around 600-700 bushels of apples per day in the spring. In the height of the fall, 800 -1100 bushels is more the norm. Visit our blog to find out more www.hurdsfamilyfarm.com/single-post/2018/05/30/A-Visit-to-the-Hurds-Apple-Packing-Line
