As corny as it sounds, i find this song to be so empowering. Like it makes me so happy every time i hear it. When i go back to my singing lessons after the holidays i'm gunna ask if i can do this song in my lessons. It's such a fantastic song. Like i love the lines 'you broke the boy in me, but you won't break the man.' And 'feel like your back again, hope ridin' high.' Like i turned 30 last year and my life feels like it has gotten so much better, and i feel happier than i have in a very long time. So those lines in particular really make me happy.
SENSATIONAL!!!!!!! John Parr is just the best, especially with his amazing band!!! Nothing like 2024. Love him & them!!! xxx

I was born in 01, mom and dad told me that the 80’s was the best years of their life. I wonder why🤦♂️…. I wished today, like to go back in time where it was simple. People were just living life and having fun. We the people don’t have it no more, it’s all undivided attention. Wish it was simple just like the 80’s👍

It truly was good. I was 20 in '85 and 85 to 89 were the best years of my life thus far without a doubt. Work, entertainment and social life was tops. Shopping was also so much more fun than it is today. We didn't have as much, as things were more expensive in relation to our incomes, but rents were much cheaper. Getting a new coat or pair of shoes was epic.

@@zuckthebetacuck2789 Point is they still make this genre of music in 2024. It's no different, it's just not #1 on your local radio station, why? because apparently this genre of music "is still crap in 2024" and folks don't support new young artists trying to keep it alive.

So awesome that we have this documented on video. Time capsule of the cheesy 80's. The dude with the Fedora! The crowd with all that hairspray. Great live version too. Better than the studio version. Why don't they play this song on the radio or Sirius? You never hear it. Love it.
