I am the parent of an EU child who has just received 'EU Settlement Scheme Permit to Join'. It presented as a six-month visa in his EU passport. I assume this is seperate from his status in the UK immigration system, where he should appear as having a 'pre-settled' status (same as I). Please correct if wrong. Curiously, I had also been told by someone in the Home Office that dependent minors (under 18 years of age at date of application) actually receive 'Settled' status straight away- but I suppose that was erroneous.

Why don't you make a video showing our British citizens? Can prove they have the right to work in Britain without a up to date passport, I was born in Britain in 1966 Yet I cannot get employment because my passport is out of date

Hello, I'm holding an EU scheme pre-settlement Residence card. I'm able to see the Right to work and Right to rent share code, But I'm not able to "View or prove your immigration status" Share code. I applied for a Provisional driving license with my Residence card, But they return my application form and asked about the Nine digit code which must start with "S". There is no code that started with "S" in my list. How can I get that code please help me

Hi I tried getting my biometric residence permit card in the gov website but it say's my details don't match. I need this so I can get a share code to verify my right to work.

I am on same situation, but mine comes as cannot share your details. Try using different browsers and pc might help

@@saeedahmed8149 Hi I tried it again differently and tells they can't show my details. I've sent a complaint application to UK visa team a month ago and still haven't updated me with any progress. This is seriously so annoying as I can't get a job and possibly be homeless if it wasn't for my family letting me stay.

@@shadowreaper5413 I called them and said that's a technical issue and I should see my info. So advisor said will send a for to tech team to sort it and get back to me. Been waiting since Friday. New job I am trying to apply for my new job with said they do documents check and need the share code otherwise they will refuse my application.

@@shadowreaper5413 I know but the thing is it's an agency that want the share code. And said its a must otherwise can't continue the application. Funny thing is I am applying for a job in Home Office 😒

It is so easy to check an employe's right ? Than, why for companys take days to contact you back or never. They can steal your details and use for illegal things? Really i dont understand when a company says " i ll back to you soon, just i check your status' and nothings happend not after days , never .

If a company makes you an employment offer conditional on the right to work, and you have the right to work under the EUSS, the employer should really be able to verify it in a matter of minutes, and get back to you with an unconditional offer. We'd recommend contacting the employer to request an update. If they say there was an IT error that prevented them from accessing your record, we'd recommend calling the EU Resolution Centre, who handle all enquiries related to the EUSS. This applies to people who have made a valid application under the EUSS.

What can you do if you do no longer like the pictures that got provided for showing and sharing settled status and want an updated picture because you fear about picture discrimination (not looking your best but having had no time longer to wait for the picture to get taken?) Every time I look at that picture, I feel made ashamed... . It is affecting me beyond work life... . There surely must be a way to provide a more recent picture to swap?

We're very sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you cannot change your EUSS picture, in the same way you cannot change your passport picture.

Just Google share code and it will pop on the government website page, then follow instructions. Very quick and easy.

Hello, I have a problem with an agency that I will work but I have been waiting for 14 days for the home office to confirm a positive verification notice and the agency still doesn't know anything… it can't be because my employer has to have my application certificate in order for the home office to confirm my right to go to work.. I'm under a lot of stress 😞 thank you so much 🙏

Not all BRP has share code services, some visas don't have it, that's what I've been told by home office and some employers don't know this.

Hi, I have an expired Spanish passport. I need to renew it but I am unsure how long the process will take as I have to renew it through the embassy in the UK. I am currently unemployed and I need to know if the the share code would be enough to work? I have been put off by an agency from working... but I want to know if all employers will deny me from getting a job with an expired passport even though I have the share code?

Hello i just wanted to ask a question so when i go onto the generate share it just comes up with the records dont match i have contacted the home office and they say its a digital error and they dont know how long it will take to get it fixed. Not exactly. You employer will need your Certificate of Application (COA). With the Home Office Reference number printed on your COA, they can access the Employer Checking Service and obtain a Positive Verification of your right to work, until you get a final outcome for your application.
