About the lady in the video, I can relate with her. We have lived in Singapore for last 16 years, my daughter was born here. She is 13 years old now and we plan to move back to Bangalore and she will study from 8th std there. If my daughter can study and do well and get a job in an MNC, like the lady mentioned, I would call that a big win. But marrying to get out of India, I hope my daughter doesnt do that. India is pretty well developed now compared to 2014, when this lady wanted to move abroad, and another 10 years later, I think India will be even better.

Too long, it would be great to have a shorter version. I live in Singapore and from my point of view, Singapore is a great place to spend 10-15 years make like 10Cr and then go back and chill in India, thats what I plan to do :) About Canada, I dont see the point. It is not worth it. Atleast Singapore you have all the facilities, the govt takes care of everything so well. Canada is totally screwed, the cost of living crisis. The taxes, what do you get back at the end of the day, other that showing off a western passport, which is pretty much useless anyways.

Thanks much for the nice discussion on considerations with regards to us investing. The devil is in the details so thanks for getting technical! Great if you could elaborate on ways to reduce estate tax - that would be so helpful!

Very much appreciated Mr. Ganeriwal for going in detail about witholding tax vs bid-ask spread. These things are not much talked about and usual generic financial advice stops at just "buy broad market index ETF", while these things matter in reality. Thank you for keeping it real. Looking forward for part 2 🎉

Monthly savings kitna hoga Dubai me. 3 Lakhs Per month tak ho jaayega?
@chaipekharcha

Savings ka absolute amount depend karega aapki salary/income pe. As per Himanshu, aap about 50% tak save kar sakte hai, so salary around 26K AED/month honi chahiye for a 3 Lakh INR ya 13K AED saving. Note, saving rate aapke individual lifestyle and expense choices par depend karega aur ye numbers se different ho sakta hai.

At 2:13 in this video, the amount of times "way way way way back" is used for earning potential in India compared to US/Singapore considering PPP is not accurate (again limiting it to Big Tech) :)

One of the challenges I see with flipping flats is the hefty capital gain tax that you either have to pay on realization, reinvest in the new flat/property, or put in long-term (5-year) government Infrastructure bonds for ~5%pa returns. So you don't get to use your profits for a long time. What do you guys think about it?

Giving our perspective on this , note we don't have first hand experience so take it with a pinch of salt. You can look at the ROI net of taxes and compare with other investment opportunities, As you won't be paying a 100% rate of tax on your profit.. so you're making some money. Is that money more than what you might make in FDs, equities, commodities etc within the same time frame? If yes, then this could be still lucrative.

India is indeed become expensive. Food at Airports are even way more expensive than any other international airports taking into consideration about the COG and manpower.
