Black Widow literally tells him "buy the house!" then says "oh if it messes up my pillow princess remodel then don't buy it," then says whoever decided to buy it in his name was a fraud because it was a terrible house. See how many minutes it takes to see her (lack of) true colors? THREE. It takes THREE minutes.

Mickey's father Lenny Hart, who was their financial manager, embezzling the band's money causing Mickey to temporarily leave the Dead and the additions of band members Tom Constantine and Bruce Hornsby weren't mentioned in the documentary. Pigpen was STILL performing with the Dead when the Godchauxs joined the band, contrary to the documentary. The _Dick's Picks_ series started in 1993, not in 1996...

Great job ! Very well put. Your analogy along with your spoken words add much interest, beauty and knowledge to the article/book page by itself. I didn't catch the shows with Clarence,( wish I did) but I would love to ask Bruce his thoughts ,at that time. Hhmmmm. The universe is filled with wonderful surprises, ( like a fallen star landing on your lap) which gives back some of the most amazing and beautiful and sometimes unexplainable events to occur that allows us to be a part of!!! Thank you for sharing😉🌞💞👍🎸🎺🎤🎶🎵🎼☯️☮️

Poor Jerry , his life was a mess ! He tried to take care of everybody around him and didn't take the time to take care of himself! I feel he had been so stressed for so long because of the responsibilities he had to so many that his only outlet was his music, his art and at times unfortunately the drugs. It was reported that Jerry wanted to slow down but could not because of his financial obligations sadly it became too late for Jerry. If anyone hasn't seen the Grateful Dead movie I would recommend that you watch, it brought a lot of insight about Jerry's life.

The Grateful Dead killed Jerry. He was never going to tell them no, or he couldnt do a tour. True friends wouldve seen an ailing obese middle aged man with substance issues and think, gee, maybe take a break, rest up some. Can we play the songs with someone else while you patch up? Sure? Great, thanks Jerry, be well!

I went from records to tapes, on to CDs, and now I'm back collecting records again 🙂 I had a short stent with 8 track tapes as a kid and when I was having to drive my mom's Grand Marquis in the early 1980s. It only had an 8-track player. I've just recently been trying to get my collection of tapes and bring them back to my house. I just sold my dad's house down in Houston and his house up in Fort Worth and my tapes were quite difficult to find where they had been left in his homes. In fact I only found a fraction of them. I wish I could find the rest of them but now it's too late since the homes have been sold. I'm legally blind now and that didn't help any in searching. But I enjoy all of those media formats and I even have two reel to reel recorders that were my dads. After I get the McIntosh system look that, possibly recapped, and then I set up the Acoustic Research AR-3 speakers, I'll be jamming again! I will definitely be hooking up the tape deck, for cassettes, the Roberts reel to reel recorder as well, and my old Onkyo CD player. I've already got the extra Dual turntable that will be hooked up ready to go as well 🙂 Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
