I bought an ms170 second hand and it is stopping after I let off the trigger. I took this apart and there is no screen at all! Could this be the problem?

I was thinking 🤔 I would try this on my bow. I was wondering how it would work, and now I know. Thanks for testing this method for us 👍 👌

An old man in Montana showed me that if you burn a russet potato once a week the chemicals in the potato dry out the creosote and it flakes off and falls into the fire box. I used this method for a month and reinspected and sure enough my stove pipe was cleaned out. It actually works really good.

Im wondering if you could help me out? We have a wood cook stove we had installed at thanksgiving time of this year. It is normal when the fire is not hot to have smoke puff out the seams of the smoke pipe? Its been in the 50s this week in Michigan and smoke is puffing out the pipe seams when we attempt to light it

that means that either: the temps outside are way to warm, or your chimney, or pipe is clogged. you need to wait for cool down, then dissasemble the pipe, take it outside, and brush it out. then you need to to the same with your oven as far as you can reach, and also with the chinmney. wet wood lets soot built up in a majour way. always burn dry wood. a designated vacuum for all the dirt is very helpfull

It looks like thats whats wrong with mine, would that be why smoke was coming out of the dampers and pouring out when I opened the door?

Or you don't have enough draw. We have a stove at work that has a pretty short pipe and will, if you don't kindle your fire properly, not pull the smoke out and leak through the ash pan and doors... have set off alarm systems if happened with a loaded stove. It works through creating a vacuum so would also think about that...

Great video. I’ve been losing power for a long time. Checked the usuals, spark plug, sharpened chain and played with carby settings. Pulled this off and had same issues. Clean and running like new. Thanks for the lesson

Great video - no annoying "music", clear concise narrative, and a gentleman who wants to inform rather than "star" in a small screen production. Thank you sir, 10 minutes after watching your video I had a saw with power again. The only change I made was to use Super DeGooper to clean the screen - it worked great, got it completely cleaned to original with the help of an old toothbrush.

The crossbow went together quickly and the general fit and finish is a bit above what I expected for the price. kzbin.infoUgkx5B43Qabqt1HedUJyfEqxiwBCfaooIH52 The adjustable stock is a little loose. I had an issue when I tried to cock the bow for the first time with the safety on. The string set in the trap box, held just enough to build up enough tension to rip the string out of my hands when it let go. No significant damage was done, and once I got it sighted in, I wrecked a couple bolts by sending one straight down the shaft of the first. I'm holding ~2" groups at around 50 yards, and I'm not an expert by any means. Best part is that they supply all the replacements parts you may ever need

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle kzbin.infoUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

I'm happy to see someone not punching holes on their baffle plate and throwing out their spark arrestor. Actually it's good to buy a new screen every couple of years. If the holes in the screen get too big it won't do its job and could start a fire. Forest service used to run around in the 70s with welding tip cleaners sized to check your spark arrestor screen. They would fine you or warn you if the screen was worn. Not having one in eastern Washington was a definite fine.

Anyone who doesnt understand this video the difference is simple. Pull the trigger slower until you get a better feel for accuracy. Pull too fast you jerk the gun and mess up your aim till you get use to it. The speed comes later.

i wonder if this is why my 2200 with only 100 hours on it is running pretty bad now. i guess i’ll have to check it out and clean this filter more frequently if that’s the case.

It was for me with my brand new 2200I. Water and some crud gets into the filter and before long she's surging and hunting before dying. Trying to restart results in less and less runtime until it won't start at all.. im about to drain fuel and get the filter out and cleaned for the second time in 3 days. Guess she had more crud and water than I thought in the tank. Using a clear glass coffee pot this time to inventory the fuel as it's drained so contamination doesn't sneak back into the tank. Also.... Enjoying a great knobber from my wife while wrenching, makes chores seem to whiz by. She's great at holding tools for me look.

Well thank you very much!! I had the carb off twice and cleaned but didn't make any difference, then checked the compression, it was 150 lbs. Then I googled it and your video came up first. I cleaned my screen with a fine wire wheel on my bench grinder. What a difference 😁. It's funny how quick it started loosing power. I always use fresh premium fuel and only Stihl 2 stroke oil. My saw is about 12 years old and I was about to go get a new one. I guess I'll cancel the new carb I ordered. Thank you again.
