I tried doing that with a Logitech 3d pro i used blue water pipe and black cloth tape the problem i had was the was way to much movement which made it uncomfortable particularly pushing forward. That being said the joystick used potentiometers and not hall sensors. So maybe that was the problem. Anyway just wanted to share my experience with you. On a closing note i am using a normal fixed office chair which does not swivel and its not height adjustable

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I have the problem that my chair (a normal chair, like yours) is a bit too high. I checked and in most helicopters the seat height is more like 25-30 cm and not 42-45 like a normal chair. However, I want to improve my setup with a seat that is ergonomically similar to that of a BlackHawk or OH-58D.

@@Chris_OH58D Hi Chris i made my own collective and bolted it to my chair i just wished the were more affordable cyclic options out there if your interested i used an arduino Leonard and leo bodnar interface to control the button inputs i have 16 buttons on the head of the collective i use it mainly for the cowan md 500e and the h125.

problem solved, it was the profiler from logitech, I shut it down, the relaunched the game and now it works. thx for your advice btw!

@@roroyfp3377 forced trim in a helicopter works different. If you bind the force trim button, upon hitting it midnight the "center" of you stick at that exact moments becomes the new center. Hitting force trim release (you have to Bund that button) disables the force trim.

ok @@Chris_OH58D, but I don't know if it's different in the UH-1 but I see the button ingame being pressed but my joystick don't care about it...

@@roroyfp3377 let's say you are in forward flight and the stick is moved forward a bit. If you press the force trim button in the game, the stick should stay in that forward position. If it does not check your settings in the Logitech G940 Software and crank it up. And make sure force trim in that game is really modelled. In the Kiowa in DCS it works just fine.

@@that_frog_kurtis they don't have a dead zone regarding sensing, but they have one regarding the force feedback, which is ok for me. It works just fine.

Does the force Feedback of it still work well? Or is it to weak for the long stick?

@@uberdenwolken4564 one can adjust the power of it. For my experience, it works quite well, still. I think there is even a possibility to make it even stronger by replacing some resistors on the board.

Don’t forget to use the IZLD (I think that’s the right acronym) laser, if you bind it to something comfortable to hit while firing you can project an IR laser right off the gun, makes hitting shots with the m2 a breeze

Man, I really was a bad pilot in that. Still struggle to get the best settings for the UH-60. And, yes, I did not care at all about flight lead and about following him. 🤣

Do you use vr, or eye tracking. I have both but cant find a good balance vr makes me motion sick in rotary. and eye tracking doesn't allow me full movement needed

Thanks for comment. I really just use head tracking via a simple webcam. It took some time to get it work fine (putting in the right curves and angles) and not erattic but I like it.
