If you don't like his films don't watch them. Get out and have a walk instead of viewing a screen...

Mr. Kaurismäki, I thought you were an independent spirit. But like all "stars" and celebrities who have received international acclaim, you have paid a price for your success and are a part of the corrupt system. How could it be otherwise? You have allowed yourself to be politically instrumentalized to support a mendacious, malicious and destructive cause, the so-called "refugee crisis." And that's what reveals yous system garbage too, just like Hollywood. Goodbye. P.S.: Repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for your eternal salvation while there is still time. That's what we all REALLY need!

He's always been on the side of the common people and of the lower-class; your bitter callousness and unworldliness is an attestation to why there's so little respect or tolerance for christians anymore - good riddance.

@@apina9731 It's about the most evil agendas of this world system, which is being introduced for several years now through artificial developments and events based on clear lies and long term planning. The celebrities have an essential task of propaganda and indoctrination, especially in times like these, and especially the film industry. These people pay a price for their "star" fame or prominence. They have to serve the powers that be, and that's what Kaurismäki does with his film. He, like pretty much all celebrities, is complicit, because it's all about his career and his fame. This is not unusual, but normal for godless people. That's just the way man is. But in the time that has now dawned, the true mind of every person inevitably becomes apparent, and which side he wants to be on. Either one joins the lying agendas of the ruling powers willingly, or one stands against it. - Don't expect the film industry, of all things, to be selfless and good in any way; it has a central propaganda and indoctrination mission. Today, at the latest, you become disillusioned as a fan. And Kaurismäki proves to be no exception. In the end, he too proves to be a willing propagandist for the most evil processes in this world. Recognize the time that has dawned. All masks are falling. It is the time of the most fundamental, ultimate decision for each one of us. And that includes waking up from your life-long illusions about people. We all need to repent.

@@germanchris4440 I'm not really sure how much you actually know about Kaurismäki - he's always been left-wing as a filmmaker. He isn't interested in being famous or succesful; he's literally been homeless before.

@@apina9731 He is a celebrity, represented at international film festivals, reaching many people and pushing ongoing political-ideological agendas. That is simply fact - whatever he is supposed to be interested in or not. And "left-wing"? If the "left-right" paradigm means anything to you, then you must have no real connection to reality, and even more so if you consider "left" to be something good in this ideological system. All this is truly no argument at all. You people still believe like children in what is imposed on you in this world, through television, movies, etc., with ideological sides and human idols that you defend. But this man propagates with his film a mendacious and destructive agenda - to which a "left" attitude fits quite well, as to many things today. And if he doesn't, he will lose a lot of his prominence, because these people are dependent on those people who own everything and decide who can be famous. Kaurismäki was at this festival for promoting a particualr Agenda with his film and his words, thus going along with it, just like all these false idols do, as they depend on it. No matter what they present themselves as or what they may have been like so far. Was that detailed enough? Understand it, or don't and continue to follow your idols from the world of film, television, festivals and what is propagated by decree (believing that "left" is different or better than "right", or whatever naive nonsense).

@@germanchris4440 He's represented at film festivals because he's constantly made thought-provoking and well-crafted films. He wasn't chosen to be an influential filmmaker by the elite; he became influential because his films have been constantly liked.

18: 03 Shit-test question: What do you think, Mr. Kaurismäki, about Islamization of Europe? Kaurismäki: …”I don’t know who wrote this thing once after the Second World War: When they took my neighbour I didn´t say a word, when they took my cousin I didn´t say a word, when they took my mother I didn´t say a word, when they took me there was nobody left to say anything because I was the last one. Said maybe Stefan Zweig…. So I can see no Islamization in Europe, it´s normal cultural changing, which we need, because our blood is getting thick!” (limited applause) Mr. Kaurismäki: How should this statement be understood? First of all, you resort to the rhetorical trick of alluding to the persecution of Jews during the Nazi era. Why this? Do you want to bring those who warn against the Islamization of Europe close to the Nazis? And then: "There is no Islamization of Europe, but cultural exchange necessary to thin our blood." Tsss... Mr. Kaurismäki: How many refugees do you want to take in? Why must our blood be "diluted" without consulting us? Are you so far away from reality that you have no idea that this "blood-thinning" process will only take place in connection with the spread of Islam and the destruction of our social systems and internal peace in our countries? It is not our thinking, but yours, which ultimately represents a danger to our societies.

Great talk Aki, but do you walk the walk and host the next hundred of thousands refuges coming to Finland in your Mökki? You can drink together and make movies. Sad movies about Finns having their last Tango. But maybe your right that Finns will be refugees..again

mmh, i usually like his stuff, but now i disagree. He shows Finland as some xenophobic place, but in reality Finland is tolerating a lot from the refugees and "refugees". He sees the immigration as some sort of an amazing thing we need. Lovely outside of realities. Well, german audience love this kind of shit. Maybe he saw some money in it.
