BIG GEORGE memang Kalah...,, Akan tetapi Pukulan Holyfield dan Morison di masa Jayanya.. Tidak Mampu menumbangkan Big George.. Holyfield ataupun petinju lainnya seperti Lennox..Mike Tyson... Akan sangat Kelelahan Jika mereka Melawan Muhamad Ali...

Very unsatisfying ending. They didn't exactly match Hagler "soft' did they?,Hart is a beast. Reminds me of fully obel, another guy Hagler would prob like to forget.

Marvin destroyed Fully Obel twice in title defenses. Suspect those were very pleasant memories for Hagler.

That was when Philadelphia ruled boxing. I used to box at the 23rd PAL (Joe Frazier's gym) back in the early 70s as an amateur and that was in the days of Bobby "Boogaloo" Watts, Willie "The Worm" Monroe, "Gypsy" Joe Harris and of course, Jimmy Young.--mike

Never knew simon was such a lump. Some interesting details from wiki about him: He was a star lineman on his high school football team and was an interscholastic shot-put champion before taking up boxing. Was trained by Freddie Brown, who went on to train Marciano and later Larry Holmes and Roberto Duran. While pursuing his boxing career in his 20s he worked as a police patrolman in Long Beach, and after this loss to Louis was appointed Deputy Police Commissioner (1942). From 1947 to 1956 he had a successful part-time career as a boxing referee. He began working as a detective at Roosevelt Raceway in 1957, and after suffering from arthritis, switched to Public Relations around 1966 before his death from a heart attack three years later, aged just 56. He also had acting experience, appearing in several films including On the Waterfront and Requiem for a Heavyweight.

Hagler probably the toughest fighter of his generation. Coupled with his awkward style of head down & dive in first. Undoubtedly both legends; for me Leonard just did enough to shade it. For all his brutal ability Hagler devote's note he was not able to stop or nock Leonard down wich was the differance in the end for me. Two of the very best ever with out a doubt.

Amazing that Licata took so many hard shots and didn’t go down for the ten count.

It's worth mentioning that in his 1st fight against Joe Frazier, Ali was coming back from a 3 years hiatus because he had been suspended for refusing to go to the Vietnam War (he stopped fighting when he was 25 and only returned when he was almost 29 years old) and only had 3 preparation fights before facing Smokin Joe (who was in his prime and put the best fight of his entire career). If this fight had happened years earlier, with Prime Ali from 64~67, the result might have been totally different.

It’s a shame Taylor went down hill after the Hop wins. It’s like his entire career was purposed just to beat Hopkins and nothing else.

I like the thumbnail with Rocky on his knees in the ring. Same thing happened to him with LaStarza. A swing and a miss and he falls to the floor out of balance. The Rock swung hard, and wasn't graceful, he went down a couple times because of it.

In 2009-2010 Cotto would of stood zero chance at beating Martinez everyone avoided Sergio until he got Old, Stuff like this is the reason UFC took over. The minute Sergio stayed injured everyone wanted to fight him, but boxing got what it deserved I guess it will be irrelevent in 10 years. Turkii is the only hope boxing fans have left!

Joe Louis did all these benefit fights and raised Bond money all during and after the War. Yet after the war the Federal Government in the form of the IRS harried Louis for the rest of his life trying to collect money he earned for these charity matches. It forced Louis into Bum a Month fights and demeaning jobs until he died a broken man. Disgusting!
