Why not attach a water hose directly to the end of the crane?

there are provisions for a water nozzle directly at the tool on this machine, however it was not utilized in this particular case

Demolition is my favorite! Even a standard pc1250 is a gorgeous machine but a high reach adds even more shock and awe! Incredible work from Atlas, Mike Beeler and everyone else involved.

What are the challenges of maintaining the equipment under those conditions of dust mud and water? The stuff just gets caked all over the machines if anything is unsealed or exposed to the elements it surely fails quickly.

It's difficult for sure. The limestone dust mixes with water to create a slurry that cakes on and is very difficult to wash off.

@@atlasearthworks I could imagine if the lime dust wasn’t moist the thin particles would easily penetrate into seals and wear on bearing and hydraulic pistons being the dust is extremely fine and course. Yup I’m sure it is a challenge to keep enough of the slurry off the radiators to prevent machines from overheating. Thanks for the reply 👍

Depending on how many sensors you need on an excavator I would say $38k plus or minus. Worth every penny. Gives you layout and machine control in one package.
