Phil - that was indeed a ten out of ten performance- you should be so very proud of yourself- you CAN sing and have a beautiful voice. Jessica Sanchez and you were my top 2 favorites throughout pretty much the whole season eleven of idol. That’s not to say however the whole freaking season wasn’t absolutely terrific though. I had a tough time deciding between you and Jessica on finale night but you know what it doesn’t matter - my vote doesn’t matter - you both are freaking stellar! This was your best performance by three leagues bro - you really can sing!! - Jessica’s I will always ❤ u or the top 4 Jennifer Hudson one were her best.

Now that I’m almost 12 years older watching this. I realize how it might’ve been perceived a bit weird. But it really isn’t. They both sounded beautiful and I wish Josh had just given all the way he could and come through for the end. They both sounded beautiful and it’s seriously my fave.

This is great video! John Mayer got out shined. The second lead guitarist played a better solo. John came back and played well but took control of the whole band. John looked at the drummer and the drummer paced to Johns guitar. This is a beautiful thing. I think John Mayer was intimidated by the other guitar player and wanted to shine. Either way this is a great performance!
