For people who can handle recoil, #4 buck. For people who can't handle full power, Federal #4 buck shorty shells. We here at OPSol Texas pioneered the concept of using mini/shorty shells for our wives and daughters, specifically for home defense. This is how it works. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZOnZ4yeZbSoa5o

why censor the pistol?

Auditory cadence as a mental cue is problematic as you could more easily pick one in your mind that's inappropriate for the target area/distance/opportunity - either you force yourself to overspeed the target or you leave speed on the table. Visual confirmation is a better cue for appropriate follow-up shot speed, since all of aiming is vision anyway.

Basically, anything between #4 buck and OOO will eviscerate a human up close. Which buck you use depends on the size of your property and the climate. In a small apartment, #4 penetrates less, a good thing. But if you're likely to be facing bad guys in parkas, it might not go deep enough. Many consider #1 buck the Goldilocks round, but it's hard to find. OO buck, contrastingly, is everywhere.

The sig doesn’t rely on a safety? You can get it with or without one.

Good luck getting around corners 😂 I know the motto of the internet gun community is 'fix it until it's broken' but a boring old handgun is a lot more practical for home defense. Lower recoil, much smaller gun with more maneuverability, and roughly 3x as much ammo capacity. Unless The Mountain is breaking in, you don't need 00 buckshot for defense.

Doing drills is not about always prepping for specific scenarios. Drills are usually meant to work on certain hard skills or principles within the shooting itself.

If your neighbors are close or live in an apartment, buckshot is actually a terrible choice cuz it will go through 5 layers of drywall... Know your target and what's beyond it... And that HAS to be considered, buckshot would literally be into my neighbors house personally & I have two #8's then two #6's behind that, & in the words of Clint Smith "that will literally tear chunks of shit off a person and leave it laying on your floor.." 🎤drop.

I have enough distance (and block walls) from my neighbors to use slugs, but prefer00 buck. Kick Industries Buck Kicker choke reduces the recoil in my low recoiling Benelli M4 to basically 5.56 level. Makes follow-up shots quick and easy. Moving targets can be hard to hit!
@Pootycat83592 күн бұрын
Everybody knows that! So, WHICH buckshot? "00" is good, but "3" or "4" are generally considered better. They have less ability to penetrate walls, but at close range, all those little pellets are devastating.

Glocks being reliable is myth. I have seen so many videos on KZbin were cops Glocks malfunction. So don' t give me that crap that glocks are reliable. They are not. My sig p226 has never had a malfunction. Ever. Any gun that gives me a malfunction, its out. I sold my m&p shield because it gave me a malfunction. Guess what I own. A beretta 92 and a sig p226/p229. Never have gave me a single malfunction with any of them. Therefore, they stay in my gun collection. All my guns have to meet a strict criteria. Must be accurate and reliable. Glock doesn't meet reliable portion.

Used to carry a 43x but could not for the life of me accurately hit a target. Got into a p365 x macro and was hitting dots. Not sure if it was me or the gun but sig seems to work better for me. I have shot a g19 and it was a little better but nothing like the sig.

I think it needs to be said for those who might be unfamiliar with shotguns that the three large holes were made by the “wad”. The wad is plastic and separates the powder from the shot, keeps the shot together as it travels down the barrel and then separates from the shot after leaving the barrel. The wad only travels a short distance as it has very little mass and will make a hole in the paper or cardboard at a short distance but it will not harm a man or animal.

I own both Glocks and a SIG (X Macro). I concur, both are phenomenal pistols. I would trust my life to either. But like stated, the grip angles are very different. I am more comfortable with the Glock hump. I'm certain I could quickly and easily switch to SIG for EDC and train away any issues but until it is necessary I will roll with my 43X (and the S15 mags)

Yeah man, sig is trash. They’ve only ever made one good pistol which was the p226. How dare you say that the Sig is anywhere near as reliable as the Berreta 92, CZ 75 series (which is more reliable than Glock, been proven plenty), this video is ridiculous. Sig just lost a few lawsuits for their 320 series and nds with no human interaction. The more you know.

At home intruder range maybe at most 10 feet the shot no matter size is going to be nearly as tight as a slug. I’ve shot a 2” pine tree in two with no. 8 shot at about 8’. The shot doesn’t have time to spread so you still need to be accurate. I think no 4 shot would be a great size heavy enough to be lethal but not as capable of blowing all the way through the house which I think a ball the size of a 9mm is still capable of. Just my two cents.

I have been contemplating the Buckkicker choke with the 00 Buck for my A300 Patrol but I just haven't pulled the trigger on that choke tube as of yet. I figured if I do get the Buckkicker and for some reason don't like it I could give it to my youngest son to see if he could use it turkey and/or coyote hunting ahhh I just talked myself into buying the choke tube and I am off to find the Buckkicker now
