Chief, very thought provoking question you posed. To the best of my knowledge while growing up in Igboland, I never heard of any customary law preventing women from climbing and cutting down the palm nut fruits. I stand to be corrected though. What i know is that climbing trees was one of the many assumed gender defined roles in Igbo Culture. Who would have thought that one day men would become hairdressers in Nigeria, a profession formerly reserved for women?

Just like the story of bus drivers in Nigeria. When a bus broke down, they push it and manage it to continue the journey.

Odinala is different from omenala, and omenala is different from nshi na aja. Odinala (nature) is spirituality and it's the best. Religion is man made full of doctrines of men.

Chief, I have always loved your determination to continue to promote our culture and tradition. Please ensure that next time the cultural dance group dress according to the culture they are promoting especially if you are going to post it on the web. Dalu so.

A conundrum, isn’t it? On the one hand, the preacher says that God is most powerful and that believing in Him provides immunity from bad effects of evils. On the other, he accords and attaches some sort of power and credibility to traditionalists beliefs and machinations.

Not that is not omenana but the devil in omenana.some devil in the church's are doing the wrong thing too.we still have good omenana people and we still have good Christians too.we can't denie our culture but we can denie the evil people among them .
@chiadiogba4465 Жыл бұрын
But Christians has been burying human beings in their Churches and use human beings for sacrifices. Why are you condemning Omenala.
@ChidosmanUzu Жыл бұрын
Points of correction this is not omenani is simply called evil people in tradition and omenani doesn't encourage this pls stop deceiving people odinani Igbo never encourage this and killing of innocent people and if you said that generally that odinani Igbo is evil then stop spiking ur Igbo spike only English because is not our own simple
