Yess!!!!!!!!! I rarely see people do the head forward when the kick happens. While reading toguchi Sensei's book I saw him do it with the look toward the left, and then turn head right, and then forward for kick, and then the same the opposite way, that's how I learned it before I joined shorei-kan, but I still saw people do it without the look

When you watch Saifa videos on KZbin for example, it is important to know the style of karate, the federation, etc. If you watch the saifa video on the IOGKF channel for example (goju ryu), we are actually looking to the side :).

@@Spartansrule118 yes. As long as the oil changed every 3.000 miles it should be very reluable. The struggle to stay on tickover when cold(age of bike) but all of mine saw 50,000 plus with the rat bike nearer 350. These spwnt gheir live on 450 mile trips with rare short jorneys. They do take a while to warm up. Hope it helps

@@peterwilkinson5113 gkr is literally just a mix of shotokan and goju ryu...I'll never understand the hate
@spinoneintliano
@spinoneintliano Жыл бұрын
@Jeremy H look at the history and the technique & you might understand why it is a mcdojo. Sullivan was a 1st (maybe 2nd dan) at best when he invented gkr. He subsequently graded himself to 6th Dan and got his students to grade him to 8th dan. Then we have the technique. Shotokan & goju use different approaches to.power generation & strategies for dealing with application. To marry the two together is not easy. Ma's Oyama has come closest with Kyokoshin. Performing saifa badly or seiunchin as it was done in the karate kid films does not mean you have combined anything. Gkr was always a way to make money to feed sullivan and his family, nothing more.
@jebbykunt
@jebbykunt Жыл бұрын
@@spinoneintliano say what you will about Sullivan, neither here nor there about him. I personally like the style and personally think it works well together. I'm not here to shit on anyone's style

@@jebbykunt For illustration. This is Saifa done correctly. Notice the use of angles, the application of power though the hips, the way the transitions are managed & the way the power is focused at the correct point. None of that exists in the version GKR have come up with.
