No one knows how big the Universe is, it may be endless. It may expand for ever.

Guys can anyone help me ? If the space between galaxies is moving apart so rapidly? Then how is it the Milky Way and Andromeda are set to collide? Is it just in some unique cases galaxies are close enough for gravity to take over on expansion ?

The hole is not bottomless, it's just a couple of miles deep. And the weird things around it are nothing but fictitious stories and native folklore. It is a very dangerous place.. only because if you accidentally fall in, you will die when you hit the bottom 2-3 miles down.

I think recent observaztions have shown that the universe is massively larger than we thought. As a result multiple universes are not necessary, perhaps multiple big bangs responsible for galaxy formations. We may have seen a few beyong James Webb reach.

Anyone qualified or properly informed isn't concerned about this at all. Stars go supernova all the time. What makes us not concerned is the cosmic scales (distances), the amount of "time" it'd take for anything to travel that far (even at the speed of light) or the fact that it isn't anywhere near where it'd effect anything in our galaxy or near our galaxy. We're actually extremely far from our nearest neighbouring star and the fact we're seeing beetlegeus going supernova means that it's likely already happened hundreds or thousands of years ago.

How do we know that a Galaxie's red shift indicates its movement away from us rather than simply the light's wavelenght increasing due to it travelling over various vast fixed distances. Also, how do we know that the microwave background radiation is residual radiation from the big bang and not the combined radiation from all the stars and galaxies in the visible universe?
