Lyrics: We wrote these plans Took the order the architecture And followed them to the end Until the gears ground cold and relentless There was no remorse We had none We kept on With no trace of a regret I never saw any blood No soul for the body Watch them turn her scab covered skin into stone Like a coal in the sky Searching for the dawn for the last time Bloated with white eyes wide We've come to an understanding You lose, I profit High noon and there ain't No secrets, no more excuses Now our number's up Let them lead us by the throat Now just smile While the rope pulls tighter Guilty is an understatement The hourglass is never right side up And all the time We try to tear the script up Forgetting all the sour for the sweet The paragraph has never been so empty The mother dies with infant in arms The lifeless test tube, Look what she's done Evolution gave us a clock That's always winding down Käännä kielelle suomi

For the record, the last One King Down EP ("Gravity Wins Again") was also epic as f*ck. (Not what you'd expect from the band, and transitioning previous efforts. Rob Fusco (later of Most Precious Blood - starting at 'Our Lady of Annihilation') is also an epic vocalist That said: loved DEP since the first time I heard it. Sugar Coated Sour, 43% Burnt, etc Such a different band from everything that was out there... And it helped push bands like Botch, Norma Jean, and which ever band came after to the forefront. It made being 'unlistenably complex' a feature, rather than problematic

@@SavageGordon DId he really? Didn't know that (do not care too much about the he said no he said bs when bands break up) but damn, I guess he really saw it coming when the others talked about turning the band into what it became to, that's why he decided to quit.
@SavageGordon2 жыл бұрын
@@julesickdrums he and Ben couldn't get along at all. He then joined coheed permanently despite first telling dillinger it was just a one off thing for a tour. They didn't have a backup plan or anything, ire works was programmed drums in the early demos as a result Anyway i love what it became as much as what it was. So eh. There's no doubt in my mind Chris was the perfect drummer though

@@SavageGordon Just, at a first glance, looking at what he does it's on a different breed, as a drummer you notice at first glance (yes x2): jazzy signatures followed by math hc blast beats on a snap, godlike, awesome. Unless he switched to another mathcore band I doubt he could reach this level, sometimes it's sad things comes to an end...

I disagree. They added more melody and clean vocals. A lot more focused song writing too. Greg Puciato was a great addition to the band. Option Paralysis is their greatest work imo.
