Good evening friend, a question how do you make those turns with the radio?

What is the shinny covering you use. The black looks fantastic
@crannaford3 жыл бұрын
Hi David, thanks for watching. It's HobbyKing wing tape. It's very thin, cheap and weighs almost nothing. I'm sure there are lots of other brands available too. See if this link works hobbyking.com/en_us/wing-tape-45mic-x-45mm-x-100m-wide-black.html?queryID=2654854b4d2d3965c75d5fe65743bff6&objectID=49383&indexName=hbk_live_products_analytics

@@crannaford thanks for the quick reply. Did you make another f22 or still have this one in the video flyable. Any other planes you have built?
@crannaford3 жыл бұрын
@@davidNH Haha! No, I destroyed this one. It had over 100 flights but in the end I went nuts with it seeing how close I could get to the grass. Lot's of his speed passes with the prop clipping the grass. It had lots of near misses and lots of crashes. It got to a point when I retired it. I kept all the parts and have every intention of making another sometime. They only take a couple of evenings to build and the entire airframe costs less than $3. I still have my Guinea Pig, there's a video of that. Since then I've made a scratch built FT sportster with an insane 4cell power plant and it's amazing. However my favourite of them all is my FT Sea Duck. It is without doubt one of the best flying model aircraft I've ever owned, I just love it. Just for you, next time I fly it, I'll make a video. It's so good, it deserves one I think :D
@davidNH3 жыл бұрын
@@crannaford hey I just watched some videos on the ft sea duck. Wow is all I say. This is going to be one I plan to make soon. Probably over the winter. Twin C pack. Is that what you used. I will see if the quick kit is still available. Don’t want to use free plans for this one
@crannaford3 жыл бұрын
@@davidNH most of my flite test builds have been scratch built from the free plans but my SeaDuck was a kit. I am thinking about buying their FT Legacy kit too, that looks pretty cool. Yes, I used the Twin C Pack with differential thrust and counter rotating wooden props. A fabulous model indeed.

Flight time of 8 mins? I get 48 mins on a 5000 3 cell pack
@crannaford5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, from memory I had my timer set to 8 minutes, probably flew for nearer 9 and had about 25% left when I landed. I'm also a novice flying model paramotors and I'm sure I was using too much power on the early flights. I do have some larger battery packs on the way (7200mAh) because I've got it loaded up with useless ballast at the moment...it may as well be batteries. I'll update next time I fly.

Nice field and nice flying! Spent whole modelimg life with fixed wings - didn't expected this could be so much fun ..
@crannaford5 жыл бұрын
Indeed it is a great field, we're very lucky. I fly fixed wing too but this is my go-to model at the moment. Very enjoyable indeed. I had watched your touch and go video by the way :)

Stopping under one of the large trees en route to the house would probably have been a wiser choice than going home and parking in the open.
@crannaford8 жыл бұрын
Maybe, but you wouldn't catch me parking under a tree in a thunderstorm! It really wouldn't have made any difference. His girlfriend's car (Hyundai) was parked under one of those trees in front of the house and it's a write-off. Our 2014 Honda Jazz was written off, and our Nissan Leaf and Honda Odyssey are being repaired. Oh well :/

The kids are musicians from different schools in South Australia... they're a group of friends who called themselves. "Goldilocks and the Four Bears" :) They're now all adults, some are playing professionally in symphony orchestras.

That was incredible! I played this piece for my final concert as a seventh grader and I had the honor of scaring the audience as the second solo screamer. The cello part, which I played, is absolutely beautiful in this piece and all together this piece is something of a horror movie; startling yet still wanting you to see how it ends.
