Great video-I have actually experienced severe pain in my bow arm shoulder, so much that I had to quit shooting for almost a year. My shoulder finally healed, but I still limit my shooting to prevent recurrence. Have you addressed bow arm shoulder injury in another video?

Hi Archery Strong ..... are these exercises good for bowing of a cello?. I had rotator cuff surgery post a fall and dislocation of my right shoulder in Jan 2024. I just finished 6 months of Physical Therapy and I need to be able to play my cello again. My right arm muscles are weak on the that side and I want to get them stronger. I'm right handed and this is the arm I use to bow the cello with. Thank you for your time.

Oh it is exactly what I need! Thank you for the explaining. I am a beginner of tradbow and I get a painful elbow of its upper side. I thought it was because I slightly bent my bow arm but now I realize that the reason should be my over-stressed grip. Thanks a lot.

I shoot a 105lb Hoyt made with custom limbs. I literally won't even talk to anyone who shoots less than 80lb. Get stronger.

Thanks again, Christian! I happen to it started doing hangs again just last week and hadn’t noticed your video until today. The level one hangs for me, as you well know, my limited range of motion, are great! Every morning, before shooting, and then often in the evenings, when I remember. Very cool!

What do you do when your biceps tendon is inflamed when drawing in your bow shoulder? Then never goes away. Only thing that helps is a cortisone shot but then it comes back after shooting. Going to give up archery most likely unless i can figure it out because its getting in the way of my surfing now : (

How do face with Target Panic??
@Bogenschuetze6 ай бұрын
A good exercise, but in this position you are strengthening the bowarm in the wrong vertical direction. The vertical stabilization happens always by adding tension to your backside, because you are pulling and pushing outside. The strength must be build when we think of a standing positition to the directions up, back and towards the target. Your training position has benefits for the directions up, front and towards the target. So we need another exercise for pushing to the backside of our body.

Thanks. I see a lot of archers that move a lot with their upper body, and as a trainer, it pains my own spine to see those movements. This test will definitely help to test if they draw a too heave bow.

For children under 12 - what tension of band would you recommend or is is better to do with just body weight? Thank you for taking the time to make such an informative video - exactly what I've been searching for! Since my kiddos are starting so young, I'm hoping to help them care for their bodies so that they may be lifelong archers.
