The parents of the prophets, kings, and the priests have an important message for us. For example: The prophets: Elijah (my elohim is YAH), Isaiah (salvation of YAH), Jeremiah (YAH will raise up), Obadiah (servant of YAH), etc The kings: Abijah (YAH is my father), Amaziah (who YAH strengthens), Hezekiah (YAH has strengthened), Pekahiah (YAH has opened), etc. The priests: Shelemiah (peace of YAH), Uriah (YAH is light), Zephaniah (YAH has reassured), Yahoshuah (salvation of YAH), etc. We are commanded by Messiah that, “...repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47). In other words, we are supposed to preach the gospel that came out of Jerusalem and not preach the gospel that came out of Antioch, or Rome, or England, or New York, or Chicago, etc. By the time the gospel got to Antioch it had already been perverted as we read, “...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26). The problem with this is that YHWH spoke of a people called by His name (Deuteronomy 28:10; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 43:6, 7; Daniel 9:19; Amos 9:12; Acts 15:17). YHWH did not choose the name “Christian” for Himself. The people of Antioch chose that name and all the so called main denominations of today embrace that name “Christian” for themselves. When Peter and Paul preached the gospel they quote the prophet Joel, “Whosoever shall call on the name of YHWH shall be saved.” (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13). The English word "Lord" is not a translation for the name YHWH but is a substitution. I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! Paul makes it very clear that the end result of him preaching the gospel was that the people would call on the name YHWH. He says in (Rom. 10:14,15), The preachers are sent. They preach. The people hear. The people believe. The people call on the name YHWH (Rom. 10:13). I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! It took only one generation after the death of Joshua for the children of Israel to forget the mighty works of YHWH which He had worked through Moses and Joshua and to began to serve the elohim of the heathen people around them (Judges 2:7-13). It took only one generation! The most important thing that I learned in life is about the mikvah for the bride of Christ. A mikvah is a pool of water used for immersion. It has been used for thousands of years in the Bible and it is still being used today by both Jews and Christians. However, Christian denominations have turned baptism into an initiation for lifetime membership into their particular denomination. However, most believers know that Christ is coming back for His bride. But I just found out last year that every Jewish bride immerses herself in a mikvah before her marriage ceremony. Therefore, the reason I am telling you and my family and friends about this is that the next time you are in a pool of water immerse yourself as a mikvah to be part of the Bride of Christ calling on the name of Yahweh (Jesus = Yahoshuah = Yahweh salvation) for the remission of sins. ... ...

I don’t doubt that the Lord saved those discoveries for this very time in history. People definitely seem to question the Bible and Christianity more today, so this is exciting stuff to have more historical evidence to support and defend the faith.

🔶 When you pray .. To whom do you direct your prayers to? 🔺 Jesus does NOT listen to prayers or answer prayers. Jehovah .. alone .. has taken on that responsibility. He designates it .. to no one else. Proverbs 18:10 “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower. Into it the righteous one runs and receives protection.” - DO ALL prayers go to the same place, regardless of who is being addressed? In today’s world, it is often popular to assume so. The notion appeals to many who favor interfaith movements and want all religions to be acceptable, despite their differences. Is it possible, though, that the idea is untrue? - The Bible teaches that a great many prayers are, in fact, misdirected. Back when the Bible was written, it was common for people to direct their prayers to carved images. Yet, God repeatedly warned against that practice. For example, Psalm 115:4-6 says about idols: “Ears they have, but they cannot hear.” The point is clear. Why pray to a god who will never hear you? - A vivid Bible account enlarges on this point. The true prophet Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal to pray to their god, after which Elijah would pray to his. Elijah said that the true God would answer and the false one would not. Accepting the challenge, the Baal prophets prayed long and hard, even with loud outcries -but to no avail! The account reads: “There was no one answering, and there was no paying of attention.” (1 Kings 18:29) How, though, did Elijah fare? - After Elijah prayed, his God answered instantly, sending fire from heaven to consume an offering that Elijah had set out. What was the difference? There is one vital clue in Elijah’s prayer itself, recorded at 1 Kings 18:36, 37. It is a very short prayer -there are only about 30 words in the original Hebrew. Yet, in those few lines, Elijah three times addressed God by his personal name, Jehovah. - Baal, meaning “owner” or “master,” was the god of the Canaanites, and there were many local versions of this deity. Jehovah, however, is a unique name, applying only to ONE Personage in all the universe. This God told his people: “I am Jehovah. That is my name; and to no one else shall I give my own glory.” -Isaiah 42:8. - Did Elijah’s prayer and the prayers of those Baal prophets go to the same place? Baal worship degraded people with ritual prostitution and even human sacrifice. In contrast, the worship of Jehovah ennobled his people, Israel, freeing them from such degrading practices. So think about it: If you specifically addressed a letter to a highly respected friend, would you expect it to be delivered to someone who did not bear your friend’s name and whose vile reputation contradicted everything your friend stood for? Surely not! - Elijah’s challenge to the Baal prophets proved that all prayers DO NOT go to the same place. - If you pray to Jehovah, you are praying to the Creator, the Father of mankind. “You, O Jehovah, are our Father,” said the prophet Isaiah in prayer. (Isaiah 63:16) This, then, is the very One about whom Jesus Christ spoke when he told his followers: “I am ascending to MY Father and YOUR Father and to MY God and YOUR God.” (John 20:17) Jehovah is Jesus’ Father. He is the God to whom Jesus prayed and to whom Jesus taught his followers to pray. -Matthew 6:9. - Does the Bible instruct us to pray to Jesus, to Mary, to saints, or to angels? No -only to Jehovah. Consider two reasons why. First, prayer is a form of worship, and the Bible says that worship should go exclusively to Jehovah. (Exodus 20:5) Second, the Bible reveals that he bears the title “Hearer of prayer.” (Psalm 65:2) Although Jehovah delegates generously, this is a responsibility he has never passed on to anyone. He is the God who promises to hear our prayers personally. So if you want your prayers to be heard by God, remember this Scriptural admonition: “Everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.” (Acts 2:21) www.jw.org 🔺Learn The Truth! - 📖 Use the following links... When you talked about being a work in progress, it reminded me of the children’s church program we did many many years ago. It might’ve been called ‘Kids under construction’? I often think about one of the songs and the only part of it I remember is ‘Kids under construction. The Lord’s still working on me’. Lol.

I was wrestling with this for about 6 months. First to understand that Jesus paid for All our sin debt helped me understand that there is Nothing I can do to gain salvation, it's a gift that I except. When we have Faith in this gift we will Show our Faith by what we do with what we believe. Here's a analogy by Ray Comfort. Say you believe, have faith, a parachute works for what it is designed to do. You will show your faith in what you believe by putting on the parachute & jumping out of the plane. So until you show your faith it is unrealized. Hope that makes sense.
