weeping angels are from doctor who, a tv show which introduced their very idea way before the creaking was conceptualized in actuality, the weeping angels might've been one of the main inspirations for the creaking, or any piece of media that did inspire the creaking, with the "cant move if you're looking at it" aspect

@XzirosetCypherFr what na, na weeping angles are the original, slender man came out in 2009, scp came out late 2007 and even then didnt have a decent catalogue till at least 2008 and some of there early lore came from shows like dr who (such as scp173), the first appearance of the weeping angles was EARLY 2007, and are based on a graveyard statute, the show writer found, Dr who is a worldwide beloved show that's been around since tvs were black and white it's credited as THE longest running sci-fi show of all time. The weeping angles are the original by far, and are credited as one of the most genuinely terrifying tv show monsters ever, they are THE most perfect hunters in all of time and space, ultra fast and super intelligent but turn to stone if anything sees them (technically there not even weeping/crying they hide there eyes to cancel any risk of them seeing eachother, but then you do see them tough luck you cant kill stone (again technically not stone there almost indestructible in there "stone" form), so you blink or turn or move your eyes and in that split second you die, (they dont even eat or kill you normally, they rip time energy from your soul, they literally eat your life energy) at one point they locked humans in a massive time locked hotel and farmed people for millennia, there terrifying and 100% original if your a fan of scp you'll probably love some of the early 2000s dr who, lol. apologies if this comes across as at all aggressive, it's meant to be more informative/educational 😅

In case you didn't realize this yet he wasn't healed because the saint was cursed; a blight ring is important to have as a saint since it makes part of the outgoing healing you do not get cancelled out by the cursed status effect
