Honestly I think it’s personal preference and also depends on what game you’re playing. To some people the dpad is easier because you can do inputs quicker and sometimes can’t do the motions with their thumb on stick vice versa. I prefer to use the stick because I don’t like how my fingers are when I use the dpad. Granblue also is a simple control scheme so you can use either or. Hope this helps!!!

B Rank players are so much better than when I climbed through it at launch lol. There used to be a gargantuan gap between S rank and the ones below it, but it's good to see it becoming more gradual.

if it helps, try testing out Renko Kicks as a combo starter while using your fuha stocks in accord. Especially in that fight with Manon where you had to keep up pressure on her with your ki blasts as well as maintaining your fuha stocks. I also noticed you never abused the DP and DI opportunities when Manon ran out of Drive. Ensure that against grapplers you dont give them room to breathe as room is exactly what they would need. As a Modern player, combos are inaccessible to you so experimenting with both modern control usage as well as classic inputs are very good. For example, I like using x2 half circle heavy (lil tornado kick thing) along with a ki blast midway the tornado kick to cancel it out and extend my combo. A combo that does 5093 that I discovered was as follows and requires x3 fuha stocks and x3 Super: Renko Kicks > neutral.special > down.special > assisted.medium > Drive Rush into medium.punch > down.heavy (repeat this twice until your drive gauge runs dry) > heavy fuha kick > 3x Super. You can also replace the heavy fuha kick with a down special to play it safe and prevent a possible chain break (it does 5-10 less damage but it is a valuable combo nonetheless). Ive been brainstorming and I recently came up with a way to extend the combo further but I would need to lab a bit more as I am still getting used to 2x Super. I will be back with more shortly, have fun!

for johnnys fatal blow it acts as a parry so if u hit him the fatal blow will be active and when he touches his belt it become unblockable

if you are close to johhny while using the projectile you will get hit by the fatal blow. otherwise it will just cancel out

The ways to counter him is either back away, jump over and behind him then attack, or use a projectile, he doesn't parry those
