I’m looking to buy Doctor Zhivago on 4k blu-ray but only found normal blu-ray version. Is it out in 4k? If not will it be released in the near future?

I have just ordered the 4k blu-ray version from Amazon for £35.77. Never seen this film before but I’ve heard from a friend it’s a stunning classic. Will be arriving September 4th. I do own The Ten Commandments & Spartacus on 4k and the picture quality on both is stunning like it’s been recently filmed. Looking forward to watching Lawrence of Arabia, thank you for the great review.

Great review, I think I'll go for the mediabook over the steelbook as this has nicer artwork in my opinion. Shame that the transfer isn't as good as it could be, but as you say at least it's still an improvement over the older release.

bruh the shipping fees are ridiculous for this company, completely turned me off buying blurays, basically the postage was the same price as the blurays themselves, and blurays are kind of dear for what they basically are (plastic within plastic)

For me 🤷 "blah" release due to the theatrical version, muddy noise reduction on almost every scene and the colors are just off like you said.

I have 150 in 4k projector because I like to emerce myself into the watching experience and unfortunately your average movie goer doesn't understand cinematography or 35mm film to begin with not to mention most people have televisions so when you watch a 4K movie on TV and it has all this crazy DNR they're not going to notice it anyways . Terminator 2 is the greatest movie ever made and it looks like crap when you watch it on 150 inch screen because of all the DNR it's the worst looking movie I've ever seen and now it's pretty much tied with the 4K release of true lies I can't stand the fact that they keep doing this and unfortunately the majority of people want that clean look bcuz they're uneducated about cinematography . You have to educate people on what clarity is which is absolutely unbelievable I have so many friends that were so ignorant to what film grain is they used to hate movies with film grain and now they love them because I explained to them what those little tiny specks of sand are . it's particles of metal because how film is chemically developed . it's so sad that people are just got their head up their ass . Leave movies that were shot on 35mm alone embrace the film grain as soon as you take away film grain you take away detail if you want to shoot a movie in a digital camera and then render it on digital fine but for me if the movie was shot on film I want to watch it in it's complete film grain glory. Whenever I watch Terminator 2 I watch the skynet 2k Blu-ray version because it looks way better than the 4K ,it doesn't even compare !

Love this movie! Thanks for the breakdown of the special futures. I own the US Blu-ray, which is a barebones release, so it is great that Imprint included some nice new special features. So, I just bought this nice edition. Can wait to receive it on the mail.

Clicked to get a review of a film I haven't yet seen.. The Lobster.. seems this is a review of the box it came in, and quality of the box and the movie disc inside the box.. So, I suppose I'd better go look elsewhere to find out about the actual movie itself.. sorry and all that, but tbh after watching this I can only state that I'd have preferred some info about an actual, living, lobster... 🦞 🤔

Hi ! It was an interesting video that I was looking for. Cause I’m myself a big A24 fan and I’ve discovered this membership only like few months ago. So far I got 2 zines. And I’m a little upset as you are concerning how I feel like people in Europe are in a way, partly robbed from what US subscribers get from the membership. We pay the double for the membership but get less then US subscribers and okay there is shipping price as well but even for the products we have to pay a lot of shipping fees. And what we get is only zines, the membership card, why do we actually need it tho if we can’t have any movie invitation or other privileges with it… Like it’s really actually sad for me, it’s pretty expensive like for me I pay almost 11 euros per month and it’s around 132 euros per year for average 4 zines, some promotions but with big shipping fees and 1 birthday gift for which i also need to pay some shipping fees, but it’s a birthday gift. So I’m really actually frustrated about this, I think there are plenty of A24 fans in the whole Europe, ofc in the US there are probably the most of them. Still I think we are kinda robbed and im thinking maybe to address this same message like try to contact A24 concierge or someone else and try to understand what they think and if they can actually improve this at least in the future ! Also they just released a A24 app with some cool things, bonus content for their movies…ect and again we can’t have access to it. But all of this actually mentioned on their site before buying the membership and EU subscribers can be tricked after and be upset as I am. I’m still gonna be subscribed to them as a fan and because I can but I do want to ask them and have hope that they will make it fair for all their subscribers and fans around the world in the near future.
