I own a 2013 Chrysler T&C Minivan - purchased in 2017, ex Uber cab, prior owner put incorrect Anti-Freeze , incompatible with the factory MOPAR AMBER HOAT (Zerex G05) Type antifreeze, which chemically reacted and turned to jello. Required a complete coolant flush and thermostate replacement. So verify what type Antifreeze your van is using

One - YOU should have checked to see IF the car has DUAL PISTON heavy duty brakes - the regular ones are garbage. THEn you should have checked the trams fluid to make sure it is RED or close to red and clear -if it is not and smells burnt - you chose badly.

Transmission was rebuilt at 156K. My friend is the Shop Foreman for the place that did the work. I appraise vehicles for a living, I know exactly what I'm getting myself into. For $1500 bucks I could give 2 Fucks Less if it catches on fire. I'll roast Hot Dogs and Make S'mores and buy another!! I need it to last 12 months......Well.....9 now.

The Head Unit Swap is a Game Changer. I added Apple CarPlay and Backup Camera. I'm almost due for my 1st Oil Change in mine.

@ I think 183k miles…..180 something. With Sales Tax $1605. As of today, I spent 60 on an oil change, about 55 dollars replacing the oil pressure switch, 35 for a thermostat, 45 on filters. My wife wanted some extras so $289 for the head unit and backup camera and the seat covers were under 200 and covers all 3 rows. I’m about 2300 into it and it’s doing fine. I’m about ready for the next oil change. I’m going to do an update after that.

Look at the door seal directly under the seam from the freedom top and windshield. The door seal will bunch up and form a pocket. Wifes did the same took forever to find. A little RTV smoothed out to redirect the water problem solved. Let me know if that fixed it!

Just shampoo the seats and they will be like new. There was no need to buy expensive covers when those cloth seats are fine. The only time you need seat covers is when the material is ripped. Those seats just need a deep cleaning from a bissell machine or call in a professional to make them look new again.

The Renegade actually the true "Fiat Jeep" built in Italy at the same plant that the Fiat 500X is built in. I managed a Fiat Store for a year and was business manager at a Jeep store for about 7 so, I am well aware of the relationship. This one does have the Renegade Gauge Cluster and, shares almost everything else with it.

I had to order an extension cable and a female to female video connector to make everything work My parts came in so, i’m going to try to finish the camera install Sunday. I’m hoping to have the video ready by next Friday

If you take care of that van you’ll get 300k+ miles. Good purchase. I have the 2013 Chrysler Town & Country and it still runs like new with 150k miles.

I traded a 2018 SXT with 89K miles for a Pacifica which was a huge mistake (The Grand Caravan is Mechanically Superior and I'll leave it at that) My Grand Caravan gave me 0 issue and still had the OG brake pads on it when I traded. I'm working on Part 2 now and have the CEL off with a $28 part in my driveway. I'm waiting on Extension Cables to finish up the Backup Camera Installation so, I should have it up in about a week. So far, 700 miles of Problem-Free Driving!!!!

Which is about all I need it to last. So far, I'm into it about $45 for an oil pressure switch and all of my codes are gone. For minivans, there aren't a lot of choices out there (Especially at this price point)....I'd Pay Double or Triple for a Comparable Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey

@@georgescarvids True about the Toyota price point. These Dodge's build quality are NOT good. Their transmissions can blow up at anytime as well as the poor lifter issues. BUT... if you drive it like a grandma and don't plan on keeping it very long, it should be ok. There's a reason you got it so cheap. It's a Dodge.
