Afaik Kṣamā primary meanings are: patience, forbearance, forgiveness. I think it's important to recognise forgiveness in this list because it is a wise attitude to combine this with patience.

I've been on the path of yoga since age 14 in 1970. I've had alot of contact with the Hare Krsna movement (ISKCON) and SRF/ Golden Lotus/Ananda ( P. Yogananda) also other gurus and their devotees. I do not have a community to interact with and that may restrict my confidence. I live in an isolated area. What do you suggest? I do not like online groups very much, only KZbin and IG for inspirational videos. You inspire me.
@SanskritStudies3 ай бұрын
You have to listen to what makes sense for you. If you don’t like online and you live in an isolated area that means you need to accept what is or make a shift to online or move. Those 3 options exist.

Do you recommend sitting in silence or sitting with mantra? Like Japa?
@SanskritStudies5 ай бұрын
I regularly practice silent meditation and chanting. It’s important to listen to your own heart about what you feel drawn too. What do you feel drawn to?

Desires (for me) aren’t so simple. I am also living in a world where semantics from one to another are so complex. Such as the world Sin. Many words simply over time take on new meanings for different generations. I especially see that with my 7 year old daughter. The word Sins (I believe) gets especially complicated today. I believe that in the Koran it says “one should not kill another… except for some unjust reason.” Well, that brings harm to someone but those followers do not see it as Sin. So it gets difficult to define. My personal belief is to listen and try not to attach to any dogma. I appreciate your thoughts and expressions. Even though traveling a personal path brings much loneliness. I have come to feel that it means that I am not being overly bamboozled😂❤

I hear you Peter. Go towards what you feel is best. Bamboozled sucks. So I get it. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. Maybe read my blog I just wrote on faith at manorama.substack.com if you feel too. Sending you my best wishes
