Thanks for the inspiration and motivation! I cut off the fronts of all my past Christmas cards but haven't done anything with them yet. Wish now I'd thot to cut out the sentiments. Anyway, excited to get to them now!! Loved Carol Duvall!

I find all that measuring very frustrating and time consuming. I just lay my papers on top of each other and line them up where I want them to fit and make a pencil tick to show me where to cut...it is so much easier.

I just found your videos and I really enjoyed this one. You work at your cards much the same as I do. One of the cards you were working on, I was sitting here saying "it's crooked, it's crooked" and finally you noticed it was crooked and fixed it! LOL! When I am working, I can't let things like that go, I have to fix them! I would have used some glitter glue to hide the "let it snow" words but your solution was good too.

A good sentiment for the second card would be: Santa Meets Frosty! LOL!

I was in a couple of swaps and one was a recipe swap that we decorated and the others were ATC swaps. There were other swaps and I enjoyed all of them, especially the Mardi Gras swap. I can't recall what the others were, offhand. Oh one swap was a Christmas swap, which was fun. Mine were, A Partridge in a Pear Tree, which were pretty cute. I love ATCs because they are tiny and I've always loved miniature things of any kind. Another swap had a music theme and I put a quote from a poet, I think he was, Sir William Congreve, but I'm not sure. I'm so bad with names... the quote is, "Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast." Most of the time, it's mis-quoted and instead of breast, it's said as, "beast." My mom had the heart of a poet and would quote poetry to me all the time. She especially loved Shakespeare. Mom was a teacher and taught as easily as she breathed. She was born in 1903 and went to what was called, Normal School, which was like a teachers' college back in her time. Another was Mom's favorite--"Water, water everywhere and all the boards did shrink. Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink." I don't recall from which poem this quote was, but she would recite the whole poem from heart. I think it might have been, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, where the ship was stuck in the doldrums, which is a calm where there is no wind to fill the sails and without the wind, they couldn't go anywhere. It was really neat because she stayed home to raise me and had a, "captive student," and I had a "captive teacher." One time, I had a party and after awhile, we noticed all of the boys were nowhere in sight, so I went to look for them. I found them out in the kitchen, surrounding Mom, listening raptly, to her talking about the olden days. They were totally fascinated by her and thought she was so cool. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I still miss Mom and I'm 78, now. Don't pay any attention to me. I just waxed reminiscent for a moment. 🥰 Or two... 😁😊

I don't laugh at bloopers--I find that when an oops is made, I always learn something from it and I praise people who make mistakes and leave them in, so we can see how they're taken care of and made right again. Thanks! 🤗Hugs ❤👍👍👍👍👍

I'm so glad that Fall is falling up there where you are. It's not happening here down on da bayou. Very humid and HOT! It's been pretty good except for the squall that raged through here some weeks ago, now. That was on a Monday and then three days later we had another storm which came through here and that one knocked down all kinds of loose leaves and tree the first storm didn't manage to destroy! Did I mention it's very humid and HOT!? Still... My dear hubby keeps telling me that there's supposed to be a break in the heat. I'll believe it when I feel it. LOL! On the upside-we're both OLD, now, but we keep on keepin' on and that's a good thing. Life is good. Love you and think of you as part of my life and really enjoy watching you make/recycle cards--ALL of them, but I love the Christmas cards the best. I especially love all holiday cards except halloween. I don't care to celebrate the dead... Anyway, we do occasionally have some weather that's pretty cold for here and last, "winter," was chillier than normal, which gave me bumper crops of sugar figs, a.k.a. Celestes and there were so many of them that even the birds, possums and raccoons weren't able to eat them all, so I ate my fill of them, too. YUM! 🥰😁🤗😘❤❤❤👍👍👍

OH. WOWWW!! Now I have two more awesome cards to admire with everything in me! These are: A-mazing, B-mazing, C-mazing and D--All of the above! No Joke. If anyone ever sent me cards like these two and the other two in your other video, I would make a Christmas collage with them and keep them as mini works of art. That tree on the gold foil is breathtaking and the other one makes my heart smile, just looking at it. I have that stardust pen and it's one of my very favorite pens. It is so easy to use and leaves the prettiest glow on things.

Thank you for contributing to the crafting delinquency of a senior! I have a Fiskars slide cutter and just went to Michael’s and got a Fiskars “paper cutter”. The didn’t have WeR. I do have a six hole punch by WeR and it is really nice. When I was very young I was so afraid of the guillotine style cutter, but crafting has helped me get through that. I sew and consequently have so many craft tools. It is a fun addiction!
