I would recommend a Lodge called Boca Pilia on the Yucatan Peninsula. Lots of Permit and MILLIONS of small to medium sized Bonefish..! 😮 Small to Medium Tarpon as well and don't forget to catch a few Cubera Snapper...

Is this freeswimmer the same as the Daiwa Emcast BR LT 5000 CP thats available at Walmart? If so, how does it compare to a Shimano Baitrunner OC?
@SaltwaterExperience15 күн бұрын
No, This reel is actually called the Daiwa Freeswimmer. Similar to the Baitrunner but superior in my opinion
@707SonomaComa14 күн бұрын
@@SaltwaterExperience you think its better than Shimano's Baitrunner? That must be an awesome reel. I've seen quite a few reviews saying Shimano was the best but I've never seen it compared to the freeswimmer.

Great knot, but I can’t tie it on 4 pound test line. I always see knots demonstrated using everything from 50 pound braid to paracord. How bout demo it using 4 pound test high vis line? I dare you!
@SaltwaterExperience15 күн бұрын
I tie this knot with 4 lb test but Id rather tie a blood knot. 4 pound test is 6x in fly tippet. If you trout fish, you definitely need to tie 2 lines together in 2,4 and 6 lb test

I've seen people tie this knot without pliers? Do pliers make it stronger??
@SaltwaterExperienceАй бұрын
I would say that most people are taught to tie this without pliers and some people will say that you don't need them. Lots of people can tie a faster and better Haywire than I can without pliers. For me, the Haywire turns out neater, cleaner and stronger when I use pliers to hold it. That is what works for me. You don't need them if you can tie a nice, neat and strong one without pliers

It’s definitely a game of details. A humble suggestion… lose the shoes and keep your feet planted. The constant repositioning of your feet and rocking while casting went a long way towards keeping those fish wary and at a distance in the calm water. Additionally, bare feet will let you know when your stepping on your fly line. Good luck and good fishing!

I have this on my boat, it does not last and has not even made it 3 years before melting and coming unglued. I would not recommend it if you are boating in a place where the sun comes out.

That is too bad. That is also not our experience at all as it has held up to the Florida Keys sun with no issue at all

1:30 I tied my knot and everything cinged perfectly. However I thought the loop was supposed to grab tightly to the hook, and it didn't for my knot. Is having a little loop going to effect the strength of my knot at all?
@SaltwaterExperienceАй бұрын
You can do it either way. If you leave a loop it will generally pull tight when you catch a fish

This information and interview was sooooo relatable in a "that makes sense manner!" I am 60 years old and within the past year started having left hip and leg pain which has seriously decreased my flexibility and workout routine. I just could't understand WHY... I've been running 5k and 10k races and had some soreness, but nothing an Epsom Salt soak didn't improve. Like many others: My doctor "suspects" osteoarthritis and prescribed a pain medication which I stopped taking because it made my pain worse; I've had an XRAY that was NORMAL; I was referred to PT, which helped, but didn't resolve the pain and decreased ROM issue, and I recently had a deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release massage therapy (90 minutes actually made a notable difference. I'll do that again.) I'm still doing a combination of ALL of these things, but THIS INFO is hopefully "my missing piece"! I honestly waa not stretching and strengthening while I was running and "LOCKED UP" is exactly how I would describe my Left hip/leg... and Tension all over. I am getting into Ultimate Human Performance ASAP! THANKS AGAIN FOR THE INTERVIEW! & I DID COME THIS WAY VIA DAVID GOGGINS - CAN'T HURT ME... WHAT IF?
