I have a 2003 red and white MINI R50 I bought in 2003. No big problems and the Midland 5-speed shifts very smoothly......Great little car...

@@ffegan9619 Yeah the puddle lights shine forward not down same with the footwell lights everthing else was ok going to get different led's for the ones facing forward

I did this and it was the one of the easiest I have ever done. Nice of mini to put an access plate to do it. Unlike some american cars that requires the fuel tank dropped. Thank you.

I just bought this kit from your link, works mint and the car looks nice, i just wanna know about then little orange lights in the door handle and under the window switches where the cup holders are if they are change able or not???

There a bleed valve on the rail, get off all the air to start it easily (key turned on, to pressurize fuel system)

I am with you when you say you don't want to affect the original look of your Mini. I'm looking to retro fit the original radio to mine. Did you consider fitting a Bluetooth adapter? Good luck with your channel 👍

Carpet shampooed all the seats and headliner. Just used a kitchen cleaner for the surfaces

Great to see how you resolve things on a shoe string. Brings back good memories for me because I had a red R50 back in the day from new for about 14 years (& 160,000 miles)! I loved that car. I got the paint done when it started looking tired. Well worth the expense so go for it! Thank you for posting and look forward to the next.

I'm looking to get the car resprayed in the summer. Someone suggested just getting it re lacquered but to be fair, whilst the body work is straight, the paint has chipped off in areas. So I just thought a full re-spray would be best.

Yeah, it turned out that for some reason, the HT leads had been plugged in the wrong order. So wasn't fireing in the correct order. A quick google search to get the correct order and lukily it fixed the issue.
