Anglophiles may need to understand pressure-points of martial-arts from furniture design. Sitting of object, seat of raised-platform, sitting of weight of object, seat of base-platform, sitting of base-platform, seat of ground. Shift plate(center of gravity) as anglular-shift affecting angular-bias (modular resolution of shift-bias) One leg of furniture can have a single side rounded bottom with two corners and a slightly raised protrusion on the other side to preload-bias and change sitting pressure-point on ground (prints-imprint). Four legs will combine to work as a chair that is easy to rock without throwing itself or the person backwards-forwards(-sideways) backwards-forwards(-sideways) = throw-vector.sss(including controlling to anchor on one leg and throw-up for the other three to fall rotated into table edge)

Wait for person to be barbarian is the usual concept to apply mechanics-physics. Stable till reasonable-bounds(chinese standard which is above other standards - niche is world), controllable after stable (with hokkien baseline-standards - niche is hokkien)

Great job , I really appreciate your content. I want to get started in building minq and xinq style furniture but the resources on detailed joinery are limited if you dont speak chinese. Your videos really help me getting to understand the complex joinery. Did you unde go an apprenticeship or are you self taught through books and videos? greatings from germany

Just excellent!! To use a common and relatively inexpensive wood to create a useful replica of a classic chair somehow seems correct. Now you need to tackle the shaped back "head of the table" chair. The bow when made of hardwood could not be steam bent so a perfect challenge for construction lumber. Please share the plans for both.

师傅,走马销不能翻译成walking horse joint啊。 Gustav Ecke有本书,叫Chinese Domestic Furniture in Photographs and Measured Drawings (Dover Books on Furniture) ISBN-10 ‏ : ‎ 0486251713 ISBN-13 ‏ : ‎ 978-0486251714 是比较系统的研究中国家居的结构的书,里面可能会有这个结构的英文名字。我回去会查一下,也希望师傅可以买一本研究一下一些结构的英语名字,让更多老外了解中国家具美妙精巧的结构。

Where are your traditional Chinese hand tools? Chinese people never seem to talk about or post anything related to their woodworking tools. I'm curious. Is the only good woodworking tool company in China Mujingfang? Where are the real craftsmen made tools?

Hi, I love your videos on traditional Chinese woodwork techniques, there are not many videos like this on KZbin. It would be great to learn more about the tools you use. I don't think I have seen a saw or bench like the one you used before in the West.

is it not easier to use a tapered square wedge with 2 tapered square cuts rather than a square wedge with 2 triangular cut parts? which one is easier?

is there an easier way to cut the mortises? here you are cutting into end grain which takes ages to finish and it's hard to get good result. I have tried using long 3/16 inch drill bit but the drill bit sometimes runs off and the result is less than satisfactory. do you have any suggestion thank you. also is there an specific angle at which the chair legs go in to the horse shoe hand rail?
@yoyadesigns

Hi guy,we have a specific machine to make the mortise. As for the second question, I recommend a book to you--”Chinese domestic furniture in photographs and measured drawings ” written by Gustav Ecke.

@@yoyadesigns I have noticed that book by one of the youtubers but that is quite an old book by a German i believe I am making my chair with an angle of 23 or 24 but I think it might be wrong and it could be 27 would be a better angle I think but it's too late for my chair because i have already done the seat and the angle that is coming out would be between 23 and 24. I am almost finished with horse shoe handle. thank you
