The youngsters who take on Marine Recon contracts, which they are doing away with by the way, are the first to fail with a very slim shot at passing because they didn't do their time as a Marine Grunt a couple years, get aclimated to the corp first, blast a few thousand caps, and learn to ruck Pendleton mountains at a jog with a full pack (not walking). You don't just watch a movie or read a book and say I'm doing that out of boot camp/Infantry Training. Oh, u better be great in the water!

Wow I am excited about your program I found by accident though we all know the truth God put me there. One thing I have learnt in the Bible is to rejoice when I'm in the face of trials for the sake of Christ because I know that there is a reward waiting for me. Matthew 5:10 says, "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." So, whenever opportunities present themselves, I just remember that there's a promise awaiting me and a cloud of witnesses are watching me, as well as the eyes of the Lord.

Old Recon Marine and SOTG instructor here… it seems to me, that BRC was developed because Marines were not making it through Amphibious Reconnaissance School. In my day you had to do the Recon indoc, then you went to RIP while waiting for an ARS seat. You either made it or went to the Fleet. Sounds like you guys are giving Marines preparatory training to help them pass ARS… instead of seeing if they are the type of Marine who has what it takes to be Recon…
