Awesome job bro. Looks great! Did you have any issue with the smell from the horse stall mats? I've seen videos where people say they smell.

Definitely one of the nicest home gyms I've seen so far. I'm in the very beginning stages of my home gym journey. Right now researching and pricing all the types of equipment I want to have. The design aspect of what you did is very similar to what I'd like to have mine look like so it was good I found this video.

Would it be easier or worse to do 1 mile an hour for 48 hours? I'm fairly burnt out after 4 miles straight off but a mile is easy

How long is ur turf and can u do sleds therw or is it not enough space?

That is a clean looking gym. Nice work. Building mine now, and what's surprised me the most is how much my kids wanna get in on the action. My 5yo daughter and 11 yo son can't be in there enough. My son has started working out with me. My daughter just wants to play in the gym while I'm working out. I hope this instills an element of fitness in them forever.

That is the best part! Our girls have been in and around gyms with us from the day they were born. Fitness should be a family affair! Awesome to hear.

Nice gym. One of the best I seen. What did you use to cut your stall mats to fit perfectly?
@KevinArmentrout2 жыл бұрын
Just a utility knife. Use a straight edge to score and then make multiple passes with the knife. A little pressure is needed but will get the job done.

Love the whole flow of the gym! Question trying to get a mirror similar to yours. Can you suggest where I can get one with the board trim around it?
@KevinArmentrout3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I know I didn’t even talk about it but that was actually Mylar film stretched over a sheet of plywood. We didn’t want the possibility of a broken mirror with little ones. I framed it in on the wall myself to hold it up with some painted wood trim. Hope that helps and thanks for the comment

I just completed this challenge at 2am this morning UK time. I actually ended up running a total of 54.71 miles and found it quite easy. A few achy knees kicking in now, but good otherwise. I did this challenge for charity, but also as a 55 yr birthday present to myself to show that we can still do epic sh*t no matter what age we are. Well done for completing your challenge...did you do it again this year?

I can see the gym was well thought through! We have the same type setup, cardio and strength side. Love being able to walk in there any time of the day. Quick question: I couldn’t make out what you used for the insulation? That’s prob the only thing we are lacking. Oh, and we do want to add can lighting. Thanks in advance for answering.
@KevinArmentrout4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the comment. I used 3/4 or 1” polystyrene insulation board. Can find at any Home Depot or Lowe’s. Comes standard 4x8’ and cuts easily with a carpenters knife. I Used a construction adhesive to mount it to the garage door. You can do a 2 car garage for less than $50.
