Makes sense why an inbred ret ard that considers this music would say the stupid shit you do😂😂. If only you knew the stuff your friends said behind your back to make fun of how stupid you are😂.

The glass is half empty, don't you see There's nothing I can do to change these tired melodies Crawling around on all fours Passing up all the open doors Crowded room full of furrowed brows Looking at me like it's not my house Slowly back out the doorway I'll be back some other day Maybe a lifetime, I can't say So, easy does it my friend Got a long way to the end Slow it down, slow it down again Or you'll never be let back in Alright My fingers pass all these worn out strings My body shakes under the heaviest of things What is right, and what is wrong One man's blood upon my trembling palms Put up a good enough fight (The earth it)? shifts left of the moon and shifts right Twisted, tangled in love and in life One more step and I'll be gone Dark down 'neath the cemetery wall So, easy does it my friend Got a long way to the end Slow it down, slow it down again Or you'll never be let back in So, easy does it my friend Got a long way to the end Slow it down, slow it down again Or you'll never be let back in, oh

For some of the dumb people who don’t know While colonization did not take place under Queen Elizabeth II's reign, Britain still had a large empire at the time of her coronation in 1952

Wow! I just discovered this song in 2021 It makes me stop and realize how much great music is floating around out there that I'll probably never get to hear unless it's by pure chance.

I was walking with your left hand in my back pocket And I stared at the sky while you kissed me And you were running away, away from everything And I stayed behind so you'd miss me And all these words would sound so sweet I could care less about you Care less about you And I love the sound of you walking away And I can see clearer and I'm getting closer To finding out to just who I am without you in the way So hold me But only for today In spite my best ambitions Getting in the worst situations But here I am crystal clean

I grew up two hours north of Birmingham Me and my daddy used to fish next to Wilson Dam He told some stories: Camaros and J.W. Dant; When I got a little older I wouldn't and now daddy can't So I thank God for the TVA Thank god for the TVA When me and my daddy used to bow to the river and pray Thank god for the TVA When I was fifteen, me and my girl sat out on the lock Watching the raccoons and terrapins dance on the rocks She let me put my hand up under her shirt; I wanted her to want me so bad it hurt So I thank God for the TVA Thank god for the TVA When me and my baby used to lay 'round and wait on the day Thank god for the TVA My granddaddy told me when he was just seven or so His daddy lost work and they didn't have a row to hoe Not too much to eat for seven boys and three girls; All lived in a tent. Bunch of sharecroppers versus the world So his mama sat down, wrote a letter to FDR 'An a couple days later, couple of county men came in a car Rode out in the field, told his daddy to put down the plow He helped build the dam, gave power to most of the South So I thank god for the TVA Thank god for the TVA When Roosevelt let us all work for an honest day's pay Thank god for the TVA

I hope Cowboys highlights are rolling in the background to distract from this train wreck of singing. The fact the got actual musicians to play in the studio is astonishing.

I just want to know who convinced these football players that they can sing?? Maybe at a karaoke bar they were so drunk they thought they sounded good. The auto tune app was unfortunately 2 decades too late to help these howling singing frogs. They all sound like wounded animals.

At 60 years old, I don't care if the lyrics are written from a young man's mind, this song is a gem in all respects. We need more like this. If this isn't a classic, I don't know what is.

My grandpa worked on the team that built the dams in Gilbertsville, KY. A father of a mess of kids(14!!), he asked for the job that would pay the best for a man with a 6th grade education. Started out killing water moccasins and clearing brush. Eventually learned to drive piles, pour concrete and walk on the steel beams. I thank God for the TVA. And on a different note, in high school I spent a lot of time out at the lock and dam. There might have been a hand up my shirt (JH-where are you now?) a time or 12.

Never knew about this 'song' 'Troy done until it was just mentioned in an article I read about him. Not into 'country' , especially THAT twangy guitar licks I was NEVER a fan of & tuned out at 1st hearing anything country, so....no comment lol. But good effort by someone who doesn't fail at much he's ever touched.
