I would say try to remember to go back a little bit more when u are getting attacked, try to keep your racket in a back hand grip with your racket face at the middle (search up badminton defensive stance), raise your racket more when you hit.

I'm not sure how to calculate that. We stopped badminton 4 years ago since Covid, started back at early March this year & only play once a week up till now. Roughly less than 5 months? Our past experience is usually just play for fun & never thought about getting good back then :D

@@kaiusly ive been playing for 4 years and trained for 1 I reckon its worth getting coaching for a few months to correct your foot work and technique i can really improve your game play and make badminton a whole lot more fun

You guys are great for beginners!! I have been playing for the best part of about 9-10 years now, so just thought that I would offer my thoughts for improvements: 1) Keep your racket/racquet up when not in possession of the shuttle, especially when defending. 2) Remain square and low in a half-squat position when defending a potential smash, as opposed to having one foot in front and staying high which appears to be what you guys are doing in the video. 3) Practice service, its an essential part of your game that must be perfected. I know my own service game has a long way to go lol. 4) COMMUNICATION!! Talk to your partner - this is essential as you progress. 5) Never lift a shuttle at the net - that's an easy smash for the opponent. Try to play a net shot or a high lift to the back of the court wherever necessary. Hope that helps. Feel free to reach out to me if you need anymore advice - I have a discord if you ever need it. Happy playing!

Attend proper badminton classes either one to one or group classes . It makes a massive difference . Just like swimming , it cannot be self taught .

Not at all. He is just turned off when the opponent plays very bad & made a lot of mistakes. Even I will feel that way when the whole game just short & meaningless to play. We are trying our best to educate each other in the end of the session to play well & make the game more intense & long rallies in a single point.

@@kaiusly Im not sure if it was you but the guy with the red headband. Its the fact that the racket is almost vertical when serving, which makes it cool and unique haha. Also, I just realized the guy with a black t-shirt is doing a backhand serve with a forehand grip lol, I need to try that the next time i play
@kaiusly3 ай бұрын
@@picahawaii7273 You got it right! The red headband was me! and yes, I was trying my best entire time not to do the vertical serve. It felt so wrong (Not sure). I may need to ask the expert/pro about it. Overall, doing vertical serve is hit or miss. Sometimes the shuttle went a little too high & got fire back. I need to rewrite my muscle memory for serving 🤣 As for the guy with a black t-shirt, he has some serious technique problem & everyone is trying to fix/correct him because he has been adapting that since long time ago. The way that he holds his racket is so wrong. I don't recommend trying that tho 😬

You can try to improve your anticipation or improve your movement. You can also try intercept shots ( both front and rear) and some shots at or into the front court (net shot, cross shot, and drop shot)
