How long does it take for vines to show up? One site said you have to cut off the top third of the leaf to force it at this point.

I tried many times to grow hoya from a single leaf, it rooted but never grew. I am going to do it like on video, after rooting transfer the rooted leaves in new soil.

Not a must have, too big holes will make the box dry. You can either do very small holes or open the box once per day.

Could you please show how it looks one year later? I have two new cuttings and one is going to be put into soil, the second into lechuza. So far I've been doing very good with variegates in soil and I'm a bit stressed about the lechuza.

Do not leave the Bonsai in a boy full of water. Always remove the box as soon as the plant does not soak any more water. Otherwise you will risk root rott 🙃

Why do you have to moisture leaves if the plants are in a greenhouse? If the ikea cabinet is not maintaining 70-90% humidity woth just a watered plants then consider putting humidity tray and seal it more. A fan in ikea greenhouse is a must - humidifier is not

Lol, these are definitely great prices, for sure; though I find the title of "thrifting" kind of funny, haha... total first world problems! 😅🤣🤣 "Thrifting" for plants; ya know, nothing special, ONLY variegated adansonii, camposportoanum, different syngoniums.. you know, the usual. 😜 ...plants that (most) people would spend a whole paycheck on, if they can find them! When I think of thrifting plants, it's more like... the time I discovered that my neighbor was throwing away a GIANT fishbone cactus! Easily worth $50 or more, depending on the source. Or, there's the fiddle leaf fig that I'd found in someone else's trash, now is 4 feet tall. Or if I'm really feeling thrifty, I'll ask someone for cuttings hahaha. Maybe I'm misinterpreting the definition of thrifty sorry. 😇😂😂✌🏼

Hey, this is misleading. The leaf “cuttings” do nothing more than root growth. New growth comes from nodes. I know this is an older (& probably experimental) video but you can at least put an update in the description so when your video pops up in people’s search results, they don’t cut their leaves thinking they’ll grow new plants :)
