18:58 in this villain phase 2 threat should have been placed at step 1, and vulture would have been unable to enter play bc of the vulture villain, triggering the surge on Shadow of the past

nice game! Mysterio is a tricky one given how often Adam Warlock wants to discard from his deck. but that was a smooth match! one thing about Battle Mage - even though it's limit once per phase, it's still an action, and you generally can't take actions on the villain phase (barring very specific circumstances like the Warpath ally's response). at least, I think that's how it works? I don't know why it specifies "limit once per phase" and not "once per round," so maybe someone can correct me. really the only difference is that Mystic Senses wouldn't have triggered that one time you healed Rockslide, but you forgot to increase your hand size from Fool's Paradise a few rounds earlier so it all evens out haha

Grim Resolve is easily a 4. Cheap resource generation that means she doesn't need to use Claws to ready. So if you are doing a big attack turn you use Claws first to get high attack and then use Grim Resolve for the ready. Early in the game when thwart matters more you use this and ignore the Claws so you are taking less damage with her. Honey Badger should probably also be a 4 just because of her value. Even if you don't lean into her with training cards, Utopia and Gametime, she is still worth a play and a block. I would probably drop Puncture Wound but mostly because her hands often require it to be a resource for me. It does have high value at 1er for 3 damage. My plays with her have all be 2 player or higher which is probably why I would rank things differently. I have enjoyed playing her in all aspects. Protection is truly great with Nightcrawler and Utopia to ready Honey Badger. Drop a protective training on Homey Badger and between Gametime and What Doesn't Kill Me, you can get a lot of readies for X-23. I think she has a lot of interesting builds in every aspect. I also would rank her higher than Psylocke. Again it is probably a solo thing but Psylocke's events are okay. A 4 is probably a card I will always play when I see it. Psylocke is nice and versatile but I'm.not sure he events are must play cards.

Training Regimen is undoubtedly a 4/4 card, and it's the best card in her kit imo. Most of the best upgrades in both aggression and justice are skill cards. You can tutor great set up cards like Heroic Intuition, Skilled Investigator, Combat Training, Honed Technique, Martial Prowess, and Warrior Skill

I really enjoy Wolverines kit. I recommend playing Tracked by Scent. Would have cleared the main scheme and drawn you two cards in that first game. I think aggression is my favourite for Wolverine, but threat can be the tricky part on some scenarios. Like the series and you play much quicker than me 👏 Looking forward to 2025

the story is great for sure don't get me wrong but some are just less contected to eachother like the hood, green goblin, and obviously sisnter motive people say the sinsiter motive can lead to the agents of shield but i'm not convinced

I played one campaign. I didn’t find the story interesting and I didn’t feel like it added anything worthwhile to the gameplay, so I’ve stayed away since. To be fair, I’m an avid comic reader, so my expectations for the quality may be unfairly high. That being said, I’m glad they exist. I know lots of people love them, and if these campaigns keep those people buying and enjoying the game, then that’s awesome. Let’s keep this game going strong for years to come! My only real criticism for the story/campaign is when it encroaches on the stand-alone scenario in nonsensical ways. I’m specifically thinking of Next Evolution, which forces Hope Summers into three scenarios. Outside the campaign, that makes no sense. If they’d keep that kind of stuff to the campaign rules, I’d be very happy.

Have you noticed the trend set? (Commenting BEFORE viewing) the first three expansions were connected (Infinity Saga), then and interruption with Sinister Motives. Then three new expansions connected (Mutant Saga). Next we are getting the SHIELD expansion…presumably an interruption before a new three expansion saga. I’m looking forward to what is to come.

I love hearing from people who get into the campaigns. I’ve said many, many times I’m not into the campaigns. They don’t do much for me. It’s great to see people who like it-that’s just another way the game caters to a wide range of people who enjoy different parts of the game. Great breakdown, thanks for taking the time to go through all of this!! This is a unique topic and you could def do more on this niche within MC.

Great topic! I personally really like the stories in MC, but just looking at Facebook it seems like a lot of people only play the campaigns once and then only do single scenarios after that. I've played every campaign except for GMW at least 3 times (and Next Evolution like 25 times at this point).

I did not like that ending. That’s too much bad luck. Caleb is off of Marvel champions now, thank God. Glad he’s finally making a new game and I hope they take this kind of baloney into account so they’re not repeating design mistakes. Of course, that’s what you get for dropping 33% of the game design to play true solo lol!

Hey just wanted to say hey I'm subscribed to so many Marvel Champions KZbinrs and for some reason I've never come across your channel before which is odd cuz I'm always searching for videos on Marvel champions so I guess I have to start binge watching your videos 😊

Great video. Love the format. I play Colossus a lot. He's by far my favorite and most played hero. The trick with Colossus is that he requires a unique playstyle that isn't immediately apparent, because it's just so different from every other hero. Armor Up is absolutely his best card. With this card, he can flip down to Alter Ego every single turn (drawing 6 cards) and then use Armor Up to flip back up to prevent the Scheme. The tough he gains will block the villain attack, so he can pretty effectively negate what the villain's doing. And, yes, it's possible (and pretty easy) to get Armor Up in hand almost every turn. I average 1 turn per game where I don't have Armor Up in hand. This also means that Steel Fist is arguably his weakest card, because Colossus doesn't care about status effects. In fact, he's weaker with them, since he wants to be attack because it allows Iron Will to trigger his card draw. I often see Colossus ranked as a C or low B-Tier hero, but that's always when people play him like a regular hero. Once you figure out what he's trying to do, and pilot him appropriately, he's A-Tier.

The best way I've found to use superpower adaptation in solo requires quite a bit of set up but try to get Gambit ally and basic Angel ally out, then you can pull the Beauty and the Thief team-up card repeatedly to deal 4 damage and remove 4 thwart. Ideally, with some resource generators out you can then use the Energy card to move Touched onto the villain or a minion

There's a few that I am plus minus one on but I pretty much agree. I also think he's very close to a 10 and a favourite of mine for bullying hard scenarios. Or easy ones. One where I disagree lot is that I Don't Think So is strictly superior to Hogwashed. They have exactly the same cost but IDTS can deal with anything that Hogwashed can plus plenty more. From Armoured Guards and Weapons Runners to Under Fire and Shadow of the Past. I will give you the I forgot I had it defence but that just makes them both similar at 3 IMO with IDTS pushing 4. There's not even a timing issue to speak of really. I've played him mostly in Protection with Spider Tingle which also devalues IDTS but that's a bit niche.
