Hello, my name is Ibrahim, I am a computer engineering student and I want to research microprocessor commands and I could not find the RIV32I commands and microprocessor steps on your page, can you help me?

After 18+ months of following lowRISC and CHERI on the web and at various conferences...the pieces have finally fallen into place - hardware order placed.

Greg, your presentation was energetic, insightful and well-structured. I appreciated how you explained and demoed CHERIoT in a clear manner.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad the talk and demo was useful.

One student one chip sound really interesting. Since I could not scan the QR codes from video and the link/email is also not visible... Where could I find it? Especially interested if maybe the studying material is available in english somewhere? For self studying and such.

We already have a lot of libre and opensource software with GNU/Linux and similar. The hardware counterpart if this freedom and openness is very much missing and hopefully RISC-V will enable CPU and hardware part of this soon. Looking forward to it.

Why no comment? Me first here. Also, this is a good development, only the speaker is quite bad. He literally is reading 85% and doesn't know anything himself.

Its amazing as Mr. Black mentioned punch cards as first steps in computer history and expand from there up to now.

know what makes risc 5 so great is you can customize it to get rid of the integrated spyware that the companies are trying to put in their processors

Very nice and informative. However at 0:50 the IC on the right has had its tip removed in a brutal enough away to destroy must of the leads that join the silicone to the external pad/leg. Someone should have hunted a bit harder when doing a Google image search. :)

If they can make development on FPGA less painful, then it could be a win for PolarFire over Xilinx/Altera.

Hi , thanks for your presentation . I have a question for you , currently i working on my final project in subject of " using RISC-V in IOT space " so where can i find useful and free courses to develop my knowledge in this area . thanks in advance

How to knwo the purpose of each cell in the PDK? How to know if the open-source tools are implementing a Clock-gating correctly with the most optimized cell for it? And for other Low-power cells like: Level-shifters, Isolation cell, Retention register, Power switch, Always-On? There is NO such information in the documentation.

We just had LatchUP 2024 at MIT. There are some really incredible things happening in the RISC-V hardware space. I think we're going to see a lot of new open devboards soon. Then we'll start to see open hardware for things like home routers, robotics controllers, and embedded controllers. The only challenge I see is that while it is easy to source RV32 chips there is not much available for RV64. As he was saying it the video about the 906 missing RVV 1.0, it's really just a matter of timing r/n. Next year will be a whole different ecosystem, I think. Especially with what's going on in Russia and China with RISC-V emerging as an alternative to x86_64 and ARM64.
