Wonder if the Commission's Detroit monitoring station caught this?

Despite the selective fading and multipath, the stereo decoder holds on, Beat that FM Stereo! This brings up more questions why CQUAM has not become mainstream, it works very well and it sounds really nice. From personal experience, CQUAM stereo actually enhances the signal when conditions are poor. Normally you wouldnt be allowed to broadcast at such a wide bandwidth.

This is amazing, and I've seen reports in the past of UK AM (MW) Hospital Radio stations at the usual power of just 1 watt reaching well across into Eastern Europe.

Пока нигде не видно какие URL интернет адреса этих онлайн реального времени KiwiSDR 1-30 MHz транслирующих эфир из Антарктиды, нет их. So far, nowhere is it visible what are the URL Internet addresses of these online real-time KiwiSDR 1-30 MHz broadcasting from Antarctica, they are not there.

WOW Awesome!!! Thank you for sharing. I remember these when I would go and visit my grandparents. I could not wait to get back to visit multiple times during Christmas. The ones they had actually made sounds when the bulbs twinkled. I have always been curious about these things.

The announcer sounds like the same guy who is on XFM, and given the use of C-QUAM it wouldn’t surprise me if it is the same guy behind both stations. It does sound pretty good!

I want to get AM TX up and running because Caraline 648 is the only one on now. I have ordered an aerial for my TX hope it makes the signal better than the crap wire it came with.

MW pirate activity keeps things interesting on the band. I think 'Fred Flintstone' is associated with former pirate Allan Weiner of WBCQ. Hopefully you log some Aussie stations during the upcoming equinox, too (is September/October good for that?)
@kilokat7 Жыл бұрын
Fred & "KRAP" go back a long time so it wouldn't surprise me if there's a connection with Allan. Yes, September is historically the best month to hear Aussies from Michigan on MW but not much activity yet this season. I hope it picks up soon.

So awesome. I need to search just outside of the MW band. Sounds just a little bit scrappy but neat signal. Always great to hear.

Do you know if you were hearing the Wellington or Christchurch transmitters? The Christchurch transmitter probably has a better takeoff in your direction. Either way that’s a great catch.
@kilokat7 Жыл бұрын
During the time of reception I could identify ("see") the AM carriers on my SDR from both Wellington & Christchurch because of their known offset frequencies. Both AM carriers were at equal strength which makes identification impossible.

Aint that something. All that effort to log a Kiwi station only to hear the same old Springsteen songs! Well done.
