I've got a '98 Neon sport with the motor that thing's missing. The DOHC made 150HP. SOHC made 130-something. I love 1st-gen neons. On behalf of neon fans everywhere, thanks for rescuing this thing. It's truly a rare one. Edit: Just noticed the Neons-org decal.. i'm a member over there too.

Dodge avenger/Chrysler 200 with pentastar v6 has alot of power that people im sure are not aware of that exists. Just get those if you want high horsepower and speed

These dodge hornets are awesome, unlike the dart's 1.4i TigerShark turbo that barley makes power Hornets with AWD could make a much better car and succesor to the dart and neons. So I think people needs to stop hating on these hornets

Not to hate on it but this thing is far from being what the dart and neon are and i say this as a dart owner. Its nearly 4000 lbs and is an suv. Still pretty cool that it has a turbo though.

This isn't even a dodge car. its an alpha romeo with a dodge emblem on it. they didn't even change anything about it to look like a dodge.

So, if i may ask, do people get their 5 speeds rebuilt to handle more power with these? And if so, where do they go to get it done at? Because ive always been weary of the 5 speeds breaking which prevented me from ever buying any neon in general, but if theres at least a place who can rebuild em, im willing to try it maybe because it would be a nixe alternative to buying a Honda for the millionth time.
