the farmer next door days he uses regular rubber cement and lights it on fire after applying to the tire, this heats up the rubber and does the same as vulcanizing cement. He repairs big tractor tires with big patches, tractor tires cost thousands new.

Too much info, too many tools. simple patching kit with insert tool and reamer. The patch rods dont even need glue as they are already sticky and will adhere as the tire generates heat. One tip is to cut off the insert tool shaft and put it into the cordless drill for much quicker insertion.

Nothing is gonna want to jump or climb into the wood as you said unless you have the wrong blade or don't know what you doing. Not enough infeed or outfeed support on the RAS. I would be very careful of the things you are saying or coming around as a teacher....good luck!

Ummmm yes it will. So if I start a cut the saw won't pull forward? That is beyond stupid.

i still do not know why this is the preferred method. if we plug it properly it should hold very well as the plug also form a mushroom like 'plug' or stop. And the plug will integrate with the rubber slowly and create a close to permanent seal.
@66wow99 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. As you slowly pull out the insertion tool, the parch bunches up against the inner wall.

Use the KISS principle, Keep It Simple Stupid. A simple patching kit's been around forever. That's testament to it's effectiveness

It matters how much lube you put on the shaft. You are supposed to put a small amount on the taper only. Also the right stuff is inner liner sealer.

I have this same problem. If I clean the area it won't flow into the heater fan? Or does it also have to be sealed perfectly.

So this patch is only for shops I don’t think anybody has a tire removal or tire stand or a balancer at home. So before 15 bucks to patch the tire how much is it with these new patch? Me i stick with the old style patching it from the outside i never had any issues.

This is a dot approved method. What you describe works but its not approved. You are kind of on your own of something goes wrong.

I have a 2016 mdx. I had all this done. I even purchased brand new rims from the factory. The machine shows that it's all balanced perfectly but the steering wheel still shakes between 55-65 mph. I had the car checked out by Honda and Acura and they said there's no loose or worn suspension components. It all started when I purchased new tires.

Why can’t it be repaired if it’s closer to the edge?
@parkerbirch14754 жыл бұрын
Its not idiot proof. So you get to buy one new fricken' tire
@markburkhalter414 жыл бұрын
Obviously Parker here didn’t take you seriously haha! So the reason you don’t patch the edges or the sidewall is because the rubber there does a lot of flexing every time the vehicle’s weight compresses the tire. All that movement tends to break down the patch or work the stem loose from the tire. It would work for a bit hypothetically but it’s illegal for a tire shop to do it because it’s unsafe plus it would be a liability for the shop (law suits). Hope I answered your question
