if i remember correctly , cs 1.6 doesn't use the same spray pattern as in use in csgo, it was introduced with CZ or maybe source ( i only remember the source recoil is so soft). The cs 1.6 has spray pattern but it has several of them and they are random, unlike csgo which has T shape. So i guess it adds a bit more realism

why are old valve games so popular on youtube compared to other old pc games. I had alot of fun playing with friends at schoolwith these games but I never considered them to be as complete or as "immersive"

Everything that DMC3 contains is the definition of coolness. Memorable Story, Appealing characters, Kickass soundtrack, and most of all... PEAK COMBAT. This game is style incarnate, but the main issue with DMC3 is that near the end of the game, the story becomes a lot better by exposing more plot twists, and seeing Dante's character grow from living 10 years in solitude for finding and killing the demon king Mundus who murdered his parents and threw his brother in the darkness, to feeling empathy towards towards Lady who was hell-bent on exacting revenge on her father knowing that she will surely die trying, and feeling determined to save Vergil from sacrificing everything for power, since both brothers both suffer the same loss but took different paths, one seeking vengeance against those who hurt him (Dante) and the other seeking ascension to godhood (Vergil) to not lose anyone or anything again. Yet through the entire calamity of Temen-ni-gru, only the younger brother (Dante) truly grew. but the same can not be said about the gameplay by throwing enemies and level designs that don't fit the combat as the primary gameplay. Maybe i wasn't skilled enough as a first time dmc player (the opposite of the current me who can beat almost every DMD mission in DMC3 with a SS Rank) But even the most devoted DMC3 fans HAVE TO admit that DMC3 has the MOST FLAWS with its enemy design. The seven hells and abysses are similar enemy types that are the intended enemies to style on. But the chessmen, soul eaters, arachnes, dullahans, blood goyles... and especially Fallen Angels are designed for the sole purpose of being the #1 Combo killers of a game in which constantly using combos with various techniques without interruption while taking minimal damage combat is its core gameplay, forcing you to use a unique equipment set to fight them more comfortably. Completing Mission 15 is like solving a really difficult and confusing labyrinth... And Hoo boy... Right before the best boss of the game (Final Vergil), you have to face the WORST BOSS OF THE ENTIRE MODERN DMC History (DMC3, 4 and 5 are the modern series but DMC1, 2 and 3 are the classic series but DMC3 is a part of both of them)... Arkham is the only boss that makes this difficult but fair game truly feel UNFAIR and UNFUN, Arkham's attacks can barley be telegraphed, he shoots homing arrows that are slow at start but immediately speed up when they intend to hit you and then he dissappears and summons a bunch of F**king dolphins which don't stop ambushing you if you don't use this pattern: Trick Dash, Sky Star, K. Ann Missile (In circles around the arena, so the missile can hit multiple enemies). I experienced unbelievable levels of rage getting a Perfect Rank at mission 19 in DMD mode, but somehow, through pure willpower, i finally defeated Arkham without taking damage and took the SS Rank. Even though DMC3's gameplay starts to get a bit unfair near the end, the story becomes a lot more interesting to explore. Encouraging you to somehow get through all those annoying enemies and level designs just to know what happens at the end and appreciate how Dante grows from apathetic and vengeful to empathetic and helpful. But this man never changes from being a BADASS AND HAVING FUN BEING A COMPLETE SHOW-OFF!! It's a masterpiece of a game with a story so memorable... even a Devil May Cry.

I think both games are good CSGO is for when you want to get sweaty 1.6 is for when you want to get fully inmersed, I think we forget that competitive gameplay is what skyrocketed counter strike as a game into popularity sometimes

Always loved playing CS 1.6, it's really sad how Counter Strike ditched the tactical shooter route and went for the competitive shooter route (exact same fate as Rainbow Six) It's unfortunate too, no new content either (last attempt was with Condition Zero) because "balance", same thing for maps (following the 3 lane structure as broleg said)

Man i used to play 1.6 alot in my 64kb capped internet usb modem. I played from pub servers to zombie mode. Zombie mode captures my attention the most cuz it had different gameplay and even fully custom weapons added on the server-side

Mate, Cs 1.6 are truly nostalgic when I was a kid, playing server with a bunch of player. When you need a skin for a gun, you can download a mod without spending money unlike cs2. Not only playing casual game, there's like a story mode called "CS deleted scene", which is good and you guys should try that.

2 is boring. 1.6 had character and was fun. This is a big trend, games today try to be movies. But games used to be just games and were about fun: GTA 3, Deus Ex, Half life 1. The focus was the gameplay, they were not just middle bits between cinematics. What made counter strike was the fun maps.

Yeah, but honestly in old cs games, no one used the unbalanced maps, every server was just Dust. And even then, I remember the time I was straight up banned, for planting on B or killing a counter terrorist from a wrong place on the map, so admin considered it "camping" (I wasn't even there for a long time, the dude just so happen to be in front of my crosshair).

I'm not familiar with cs2, or cs in general, but is that really what the teams look like at 2:24?? If yes then why does the ct helmet and arm padding look like it's inspired by the samurai? Also, to me the guy on the left looks like Rambo played by a discount Johnny Depp or concept art of a tf2 character, maybe the soldier.

Oh man the 1.6 So many good memories.. The screechers, the cheaters, the actually good players playing in what you could consider a kiddie pool smacking everyone around, the feeling of actually killing the said guy with some luck, the parents haunting you for not doing homework... No game will ever come close to same feeling of excitement of getting hyped up with your classmates and rushing back home to play some 1.6 and then bragging around how you got em the next day This just makes me sad thinking that ill never experience that same magic again.. Probably the best CS by far due to how "raw" it is, never liked Source even if it was a bit more polished Lets not forget the poor CSCZ that was put into such a weird spot, the only CS game with actual campaign quickly overshadowed by Source in popularity I cant even stomach any CS past Source, CSGO is just a pig with a lipstick same as CS2

i used to play cs 1.6 on the browser when i was a kid and i remember the hotkey for closing the browser was ctrl+w which meant that i couldnt crouchmove forward as it would close the game which i forgot like 2 times each session i played.
