Everything that DMC3 contains is the definition of coolness. Memorable Story, Appealing characters, Kickass soundtrack, and most of all... PEAK COMBAT. This game is style incarnate, but the main gripe with DMC3 is that near the end of the game, the story becomes a lot better by exposing more plot twists, and seeing Dante's character grow from living 10 years in solitude for finding and killing the demon king Mundus to avenge his parents to feeling empathy towards towards Lady who was determined to kill her own father knowing that she will surely die trying and feeling determined to save Vergil from sacrificing everything for power. But the same can not be said about the gameplay by throwing enemies and level designs that don't fit the combat as the primary gameplay. Maybe i wasn't skilled enough as a first time dmc player (the opposite of the current me who can beat almost every DMD mission in DMC3 with an S Rank) But even the most devoted DMC3 fans HAVE TO admit that DMC3 has the MOST FLAWS with its enemy design. The seven hells and abysses are similar enemy types that are the intended enemies to style on. But the chessmen, soul eaters, arachnes, dullahans... and especially Fallen Angels are designed for the sole purpose of being the #1 style killers of a game in which stylish combat is its core gameplay. And Hoo boy... Right before the best boss of the game (Final Vergil), you have to face the WORST BOSS OF THE ENTIRE DMC History... Arkham is the only boss that makes DMC3 truly feel UNFAIR and UNFUN, Arkham's attacks can barley be telegraphed, he shoots homing arrows that are slow at start but immediately speed up when they intend to hit you and then he dissappears and summons a bunch of F**king dolphins which don't stop group-attacking you if you don't dodge in circles around the arena then firing a missile from K. Ann. I experienced unbelievable levels of agony getting a Perfect Rank at mission 19 in DMD mode, but somehow, through pure willpower, i finally defeated Arkham without taking damage and got the SS Rank. Anyway, DMC3 does everything great for most of the time. Great story, fun characters, and excellent combat. Even though the gameplay starts to get a bit unfair near the end, the story becomes a lot more interesting to explore. Encouraging you to endure all those annoying enemies and level designs just to know what happens at the end and appreciate how Dante grows from apathetic and vengeful to empathetic and helpful. But this man never changes from being a BADASS AND HAVING FUN BEING A COMPLETE SHOW-OFF!!

Could always play Day of Defeat. Its basically HLL but there's no running at all. Just lots and lots of dying. And its even older than this with even worse graphics.

Eh HLL is aight but if you play as an officer and actually have full comms and both sides have good commanders and tankers and good arty and you're directing it, "Ten yards closer. Danger close boys but we need it." Or you call in that perfect airhead on the last right as you capture the second to last just as you lay down a perfect bombing run... Its peak. Problem is the morons playing it like Battlefield and officers and even commanders with no mics... They need to start packaging mics with systems again because apparently a 20$ mic from Temu is too much $. Hasnt helped the game going on game pass...

Ive never tried to melee anyone in HLL because literally every time someone has tried to theyve somehow missed and Ive like slowly turned around bewildered and shot them...

Don't be Brothers in Arms, don't be Brothers in Arms... God I hate that braindead puzzle game disguised as a shooter. Like, "shoot this trench full of soldiers until circle fills up... THEN you can actually kill enemies. Doesn't matter if your reticle is right on their heads until then." And its getting all this hype now...

Imagine if snipers were viable in Stalker 2. Such a huge map, perfect for sniping various AI taking part in the A Life system. Unfortunately devs lied about A Life and only genetic enemies exist in a 50m radius of you. (That's why it's the first game to not have binoculars in your basekit) 😂

@rizzler69420thegoat I was hoping to play this with an xbox controller but the sensitivity, stick drift and movement was so clunky and borked. On pc and it's still busted but at least I can revert to K+M, I feel bad for console players, they got scammed even harder than pc

Used to play DH allot from 2013 to 2018, even joined a realism unit that is still around (29th Infantry Division) but now in Arma 3, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam and Squad.

Once you realise that every encounter is either a purely scripted jump scare or is "generic entity 1-10 has spawned in a 20m radius of me" the game loses all it's fear factor and also the very soul of what makes Stalker games so good - the dynamic world aka A Life.

The reason why everyone hates Dark souls 2, is because Dark Souls 2 wasnt made by the original Devs from fromsoftware aka Hidetaka Miyazaki,Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura were given co-directorship for Dark Souls 2, 2 Devs with no experience at all, ended up making an amalgation of different ideas wich made DS2, the most un Dark Souls game of Darksouls and souls games.
